My go-to place for steel doors great customer service and a great product

Been in the construction for 20 years. I've dealt with commercial doors and hardware's so many many times from different vendors and brands. I gave american doors a try because their quote was $600 less than their competitor, totalling over $1,800.00 worth of products purchase in just one of my projects. Salesman was nice at the beginning. (Like always) after i paid for the order days went by (and u know the rest).

Change of orders made it worse because of wrong hardwares. Bottom line is. Doors & frames are okay (i would rate it #2 in quality) definitely not the best (ive used doors & frames before with extra layer re-enforced steel for self tapping in area know for hardware's to be mounted), be warned it's 40% restocking fee (felt like a slap in the face) check your hardware's before you pay.

Stay away from James, (salesman) you're paying for products no need for bad attitude/high temper over the phone or in person. Front desk team are helpful, if you need basic commercial steel doors home depot sells them already assembled same gauge and keyed for $314.

Our company is HomeOfficeHouston, we work with several companies for materials and we came along American Doors based of the reviews we decided to order a door from them. We had a lot of pressure completing the work order which took us a month or so because of the service we were provided by American Doors. Our sales rep was Betty, she would never answer her phone or emails.

The few times that she did, she would say she would call me back and I would never get a call back. No one in the company was helpful to us, and would only transfer the calls between them. After purchasing the door, I thought I would be able to pick it up the next day (according to Betty) it took us over a week, and no one was able to tell us when it would be ready throughout that week. Overall, very unprofessional.
