The crew came on time, wore booties while working in the home and cleaned up after themselves :. Great windows, my home is about 10 degrees cooler since the glass has uv layers. They open easily for cleaning. Hoth the top and bottom can be opened. My family loves the new windows! Highly recommend! American Windows expertly installed 30+ Sunrise Restorations windows and 3 exterior Provia doors on our house in 2 days and we love the results! Charlie was very pleasant to work with on the estimate, patiently answering all our questions. Phil was flexible scheduling the install once the material arrived, and the install team was very efficient, respectful of our house, and left everything clean and neat. We noticed a minor issue with the weatherstripping on one door but Paul quickly came out and was able to easily fix it. We highly recommend the entire American Windows team!

I called about getting a window replaced and they didn't let me get my sentence out before they hung up on me. Unprofessional.

American Windows & Siding was recommended by a neighbor, but my experience was not a positive one. When they installed a BRAND NEW patio door, they broke a window panel during installation. They promised to replace it quickly. They took full payment and didn't offer any financial compensation for the breakage. I had to initiate a follow-up 1 MONTH later.

I expressed my concerns about the extreme delay and the lack of financial compensation for breaking something during the installation. My concerns were never acknowledged. The technician followed-up with an email stating that the panel was ready to be installed. I was told by the technician that the president of the company was reviewing my email. The panel was installed and I NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE AGAIN.no acknowledgement, no apology, no discount given. I suggest you go elsewhere.

We used American Windows and Siding of VA years ago at a previous house and were pleased with the work. After meeting with multiple contractors regarding the replacement of the original windows at our current house with vinyl windows, we selected American Windows again. I waited to leave a review so I would not be limited to my initial take. We are very pleased with the windows, as they are a huge improvement over what we had previously.

The installation happened in a matter of hours back in June 2021. The crew was efficient and cleaned up after themselves. There was one window for our garage that didn't arrive with grids as expected, but they dealt with it quickly--ordering replacement sashes and returning as soon as they arrived to install them, all without additional costs to me.

Their responsiveness, quality of service, and commitment to exceeding customer expectations was much appreciated. I would definitely recommend American Windows and Siding of VA to others looking to replace their windows.

Jack and his crew did not do bad. However, a part of my siding fell off. I called and sent them a letter to repair/replace the siding. The siding was replaced and my home looks great. THANKS! Update: Although the siding was replaced, shouldn't there be a warranty where I am not charged? I just got the siding in around 3 years ago. I'm just saying.

I had windows and a patio door done a few years ago. Everything is still great. When the screen door came of track they were here within 2 days to fix the problem. Highly recommend.

Critical: Responsiveness Called and spoke to Gary in office over a week ago giving detailed info, etc about what I needed. Was promised an estimate later that evening via email. Two days go by and never hear from him. Called to follow up and he promised estimate next day. Never heard back from him or company.

Professional, no-nonsense, honest, accomadating, good communication. Will use them again. They installed 20+ storm windows with trim capping. Never tried to upsell to new windows, listened to our needs amd wants and gave me an honest assessment of my options with plusses and minuses. They also worked around some challenging landscaping, which we appreciated. Highly recommend

Ed and team did a great job with our windows. We went with Sunrise Restoration brand. We used Noise Reduction glass in some of our windows & laminated glass in one. Windows have imperceptible air leakage and great noise reduction. Also, wood finish blends on two windows blends right into existing Oak trim. Installation team was efficient and thoughtful. Would highly recommend them.

The American Windows team did a great job installing 10 new windows and a new front door for us. Ben and his team were a pleasure to work with, start to finish. Their quote was the lowest of 4 I received, but I don't feel like I gave up any quality. They went above and beyond to take care of a couple of small issues, and did the full install in 1 day. Great work!

Competitive prices and Ed (President) was great and communicative the whole entire process, which I'm sure was hard midpandemic. Work was done and completed in a timely process. They did all new siding.

We worked initially with Gary. Our project was to add a window to a previously windowless wall, and replace the one window in the room with a larger window. Working with Gary was great, and they were efficient in getting things measured. Because of the pandemic it took several weeks for the windows to come in but once they were in the efficient and very nice crew installed them quickly.

After installation we discovered one of the windows was flawed. Mike came and looked at it, and very quickly ordered a replacement. We love how the room looks now- my wife says it is totally transformed. And working with American Windows was great!

Ben has been more than patient with us as we decided on window options, as well as a few other potential projects we haven't pulled the trigger on yet. We bought Sunrise Restorations windows and had them installed in July. The pricing was very competitive and the crew did an excellent (and fast) job installing them. From start to finish we can't complain about anything at all and highly recommend American. We've seen friends go through the big sales pitches and high pressure tactics from other companies. You won't get anything near that from Ben. Just honesty and solid recommendations!

I replaced my 65 year old front door and storm door with a custom Provia Heritage for $4150. Gary Tober was very communicative, provided the lowest quote I could find, there was no pressure to buy, and I'm very happy with my new door!

Mike Rogers (owner) took the call. After carefully listenning to what I wanted, he first took down all my contact information, and then started to steer me to something else and up selling. When I insisted on the kind of window I needed, he suddenly said that he had a multi-thousand dollar minimum and unless I agree, he won't do my job. Outrageous and arrogant attitude from a stupid man. Very annoying experience.

My husband and I contracted American Windows and Siding of VA, Inc. to replace our main floor windows as well as our front door and storm door. They offered us the lowest quote, and they were consistently professional and courteous throughout the entire process. No high-pressure sales tactics. They explained our options to us so that we could make choices that best suited our needs.

Their team, which consisted of five people, completed the job in one day, and the end result reflected solid workmanship and an attention to details. When we noticed a small issue the next day with the storm door, Connor (Operations Manager) came over right away to see if he could fix it. Several members of the team also showed up and, and they resolved the problem. We could not be happier with the quality of their work or with their professionalism. We recommend them without hesitation.

We were getting quotes for replacement windows. It's a little tricky given COVID-19 and the requisite social distancing guidelines. All that being said, Jim Littau at American Windows was very responsive via email and telephone. Gave me a very reasonable quote and pointed me to the window manufacturer information for the details I needed. No pressure sales, no issues, no problems.

We contacted American based on Yelp reviews as we were tired of the 1-hour presentations and high prices from the big companies. We received an immediate response and Jim came for the consultation, which lasted 20 minutes. Their estimate was almost half of what we had been getting. We chose American. Window installation was eventually scheduled. Two crews showed up right on time.

They were clean and courteous, front and back windows/door installed beautifully and timely, and the areas around the windows/door were cleaner when they left than when they arrived. It's been a year now and we could not be happier with our windows/door and our experience with American. Next job we will not hesitate to contact them again.

The estimate was less than 10 minutes. Compare to all the other window estimates I had, those estimates was educational, friendly, and professional.

Those estimates was actually around 45 minutes. Those estimators actually took the time to: 1 - test the windows (open, close, and whatever else they need to do) 2 - explain why certain windows are the way they are 3 - explain how their products are better than the current windows 4 - explain their product line 5 - explain their delivery timeline 6 - listen to my situation and try to find a way to be helpful with their services and products The estimator of this company on the other hand, only did one thing. Number 2, and gave a flat quote so he can be outer there. I'm glad this company cannot be of service to me. And I'm glad the owner of the company admitted to it.

This company provides the most value for the money, as they are straightforward and reasonable with the estimate, timely and precise with the installation, and professional and caring with the follow-up. Our primary contact, Brad, was accessible and courteous throughout the entire process, working within our budget and figuring out how to best meet our needs, including providing guidance and advice about the smallest details.

Jim and his team installed Trim Capping (coil wrapping) on our double level box bay and sliding glass door, plus some roofing trim and soffits. We were so impressed with the quality of the work and the final product. It looks amazing! And it looks exactly like they said it would - which makes the HOA happy too! And the price was extremely reasonable. We are so happy with the final product and highly recommend them!

I had American Windows come in and replace two sliding windows. Their quote was $4,000 less than Window Nation! I was very impressed with the work and the installation. The crew was very professional not overlooking any detail, including cleaning up and picking up small pieces of caulking that may have dropped on the ground. The details of the finish was incredible. The favorite part of the my house is sitting in front of the sliding windows. I highly recommend American for their prices as well as their work.

We met with about 5 or 6 contractors for quotes on replacing 10 windows and 2 doors. Ben came out, took a look around and grabbed the measurements he needed. No high pressure sales, no 3-hour lecture. We had a quote (without the hassle we experienced with the other contractors) that was on the lower end (I think only 1 was slightly less, but one quote was about double!).

What really sold us with Ben was that he didn't try to up sell us on the type of windows, and since we have an old house, he explained that we are likely loosing more heat straight out the walls than the windows, so we may as well go the more moderately priced windows. Well, guess what? The next contractor came in for a quote and tried to sell us on the highest end windows that would keep 99.99% of heat from escaping.

He had one of those fancy IR imaging things to show us how much heat we were currently losing with our old windows.well the picture showed that indeed we were losing way more heat through the walls than the windows.that guy quickly tried to backtrack and put the picture away. Clearly insulation is the next project on the list. Anyway, we went with American Windows. Ben worked with us to pick the style windows/doors we wanted and placed the order.

It was about a 2 month lead time for them to get everything from the manufacture but that included the christmas holidays so I'm sure it was a bit longer than normal. When the install day came, Sam and his crew showed up on time. Sam was great, he asked questions when he had them and made sure everything would look how we wanted it to in the end.

When I wasn't sure about the best decision, he would offer some advice and I'm glad I took it because he definitely knows his stuff. They got the work done in a little bit less than they had estimated and left the place clean. The work looks great, and we are very happy with the result! I recently purchased a Provia exterior door and storm door from American Widows & Siding and I could not be happier. Ed Dunn the owner was extremely professional and kept me updated throughout the entire process. The installers were meticulous and did a great job. Once they finished Ed contacted me to make sure I was happy with the final product. I wish I had contacted Ed when I was shopping for windows but that is a different story/review.

I hated buying windows with a passion. From 3-hour at home consultations (you go ahead and listen about windows for 3 hours), high pressure sign-right-now tactics, all homeowners have to be present nonsense, to the fact that it's extremely difficult to find any objective comparisons between different brands of windows. The process was rather overwhelming and we ended up with quotes from $5K to $20K to replace 19 vinyl windows, and very little understanding of why such a huge discrepancy.

Then I met Ben in their showroom, and life got better. He was straightforward, helped me understand the difference between options, I could actually see full size windows for all brands we were considering, and within 30 minutes I had a quote. It wasn't the lowest (but it was far from the highest), and it was in line with another quote we got for the same brand from a different contractor. Ben came to the house to take measurements, and that's when I actually got impressed.

As it turns out, we have 3 windows that needed tempered glass. How do I know, you may ask? Well, after Ben mentioned it, I read the building code. If you didn't think 3 hour presentations are fun, try reading the building code. None of the other contractors brought it up. This showed Ben really knew what he was talking about, and we signed the contract.

The first order that came in was wrong, but Ben let us know promptly. On the day of installation, Sam and his crew showed up on time, and got to work right away. The guys were really nice, efficient, they replaced some rotten trim at a very reasonable cost, they cleaned up after they were done, and around 5 pm we had all brand new windows. We're very happy to have a contractor we like and trust now, and we'll certainly work with American Windows on our next project.
