In 1963, we began as a small shop known as Bob's Glass, founded by long time Atascadero resident Bob Maxwell. The business was small then and required Bob to work a second job by day at the Atascadero State Hospital. His evenings and mornings were spent cutting glass and getting product ready for his customers the next day while his wife managed the store taking orders and ordering material.
Our commercial division prides itself in managing projects with strict adherence to quality, safety and customer service. Our expertise includes: curtain wall systems, skylights, storefront systems, commercial windows, office partitions, storefront doors, heavy glass entry systems and maintenance and repair work.
Atascadero Glass, Inc. serves individual homeowners and contractors with the newest designs in windows, shower doors, and mirrors for commercial and residential use. Under the same ownership for the past 20 years, our professional and highly trained staff of estimators, installers, and technicians combine over 100 years of experience.
Michael called within an hour and spent hours with us both by email, phone and in person, to guide my partner and I toward the windows that were right for our situation. Atascadero Glass will be highly recommended by me in the future. Atascadero Glass was recommended by friends with prior experience for replacement windows.

Well we had Atascadero glass do all our windows back in 2003 the whole house. They did a great job. HOWEVER spring to 2019 and left 5 messages because one of the windows now has condensation in it. Finally on my 6th try (I'm persistent) I got someone on the phone who said we don't do residential anymore. So we went to Paso Robles Glass and got excellent help.

This company installed 10 dual paned windows in our home several years ago. Three of them have stopped opening and closing and the metal rods holding two of them open fell out. A handyman I called to diagnose the problem said that the measurements were off and that the windows apparently were too small for these particular openings. When I phoned Atascadero glass to have a representative come out to look at the windows, I was informed that the company no longer works on homes.

But the company would give me the number of a competitor. Not a satisfactory response. Business owners need to stand behind their work, not shuffle customers with problems off to others.

Can anyone say "Backflips?" Well, I can! Atascadero Glass' installers are excellent, professional, and efficient! After hiring Atascadero Glass to install our first 5-foot tall deck windbreak, we added on another layer to our deck, which required a 6-foot tall windbreak. Because of our first experience, we knew just who to call! Our job was a total of 5,500 square feet and required professional installers that had the background for the precision needed for this complicated installation. Years later, a few small plastic parts required replacing due to rain and sun wear and tear. (To my surprise, the owner of the company, Roger dropped the parts off on his way home from work!) Now I'd say that's customer service at it's best. Thanks, Roger, Craig, Mike and all the rest! Ok to use us as a referrral! Jeannie and Jim.

Very poor customer service and wondering if that was the reason for them pulling out of the residential side and going strictly commercial. Our windows were replaced all over our entire house and when one window was leaking during the heavy rains, they would not help me at all since I was not the original owner and did not have the original receipt.

These windows are new! Very disappointed that Craig the one answering the phone would not even let me speak to the manager. If they ever go back to residential, avoid them at all costs and I would never use them for the commercial side either.

Called after my dog shattered my living room window. I was in need of it being fixed asap. Not only did they quote me almost $400 for a 30x20 window, they said it wouldn't be for over two weeks. Call North County Glass, he squeezed me in within a day and also charged me MUCH less!

I would love to be the person to review about how amazing my windows look, but fir that I would need a quote and the salesman would have showed up, but that was not the case. Last year we got a quote to replace a few windows and sliding doors, we were told about the financing and were ready to go until we found out the financing was not so easy to get.

We then made a plan to save money and get the project going and so we made an appointment to have Dave come to the house to give us a new quote and answer a few questions we have, I left work early to be home. Eager to get the project going. Dave never showed up, I called the company 20 minutes after scheduled time and Dave himself told me he had made sales that day and he would not be coming to my house.

I was pretty annoyed but we went ahead and re scheduled the visit for a week later since my husband and I work full time we schedule for the convenient time Dave proposed, Friday at 4. I then contacted Paige (who's always super nice) and asked that she makes sure we are on the books for Friday at 4. She was going to double check. I did not hear back. Friday came and I made sure to be home at 3:30 just in case Dave should up early.

At 4:15 I get a call from Dave letting me know he wants to leave work early and will not make to the appointment, he then tried to check the quote from last year and said he needed to come in to give us a new one. DAH! And he also wanted to re schedule the appointment. Seriously! Needless to say, the poor customer service and lack of professionalism I personally received from Dave is enough to make me go elsewhere. This is the absolute worst service I have ever received and let me tell you, I have lived in different states and countries. Very disappointing.

Needed a custom shelf made for my entertainment center, went to another shop and was quoted nearly double what I was expecting. Courtney at Atascadero Glass got me setup for a reasonable price and was a pleasure to work with. I'll be using Atascadero Glass in the future!

An unfortunate bathroom misadventure recently left me in desperate need of help from the pro's. Atascadero Glass happened to be just around the corner, and I turned to them in my time of need. In less time than I imagined possible, and with lots of help and laughs from the ladies up front (thank you Courtney and. Sage? Paige?), my bathroom is now back to 100%!.well, if I'm being honest, more like about 85%, but that's another story and no fault of Atascadero Glass!

I wanted to hire Atascadero Glass to replace some windows in my old SLO home, because I'd worked with them in the past and was very happy with the service and product. This time, however, it didn't work out. I set an appointment and rearranged by work schedule to be home. But they didn't show. I set a second appointment and they cancelled on me -- again creating some work challenges.

They offered to reset the appointment a third time, but it was at a time where I couldn't leave work. So I passed. It's too bad -- the windows they have installed in the past were beautiful.

Poor customer service. They were unable to provide a sample of the windows that I wanted to order for my new house. They did not have a sample in their showroom and were unable to provide a customer's name where I could look at the windows. Who would buy windows for a new house without seeing a physical example. No the pamphlet does not count.

I love these guys! They did a great job on the window I brought in and then wrapped it all up in cardboard for me so it wouldnt break. The girls are all efficient and very friendly. Page is a veteran, even, and I'm very thankful for her service to our country.

A few years ago we hired this expensive company for replacement of two sliding glass doors, a large bay window and 4 others. At first glance I noticed the final product did not appear to be finished. They tore out the entire frames and replaced with cheap plywood. Large nail heads were visible with "indoor" caulking (on exterior) slathered over wide gaps. Now, after time the plywood framing is bowed and warped, nails have popped out and caulking completely disintegrated. In addition any insulation that originally existed is gone so moisture enters via exterior wide seams they created. As others have stated I would give no stars if possible.

Order two shower door replacements. Great price. Best in north county. When the pieces arrived we were called promptly. I pick up myself. Staff was very helpful in loading and answering some final install questions.

Pay attention to the other reviews! I ordered shower glass from them. When the glass was installed it has scratches and pits in it. When they came out to see the issues I was told I had bought construction grade glass and the imperfections were to be expected. I will not do business with this company again. My hard earned dollars paid for glass that would be sold in a second hand shop! Stay away from this company. Janet

Probably the worst customer service I have ever encountered. A woman by the name of Colleen answers the phones. And talking to you is the last thing she wants to do. My Grandmother called back in May to get a replacement window that had a lifetime warranty on it. Colleen was blunt, rude and completely uncooperative, and needless to say, Atascadero Glass did not fix anything.

I called then in July. Colleen was just as unfriendly with me. However, unlike my Grandmother, I'm not an 83 year old woman, so I wasn't pushed around as easy. I got Colleen to hear me out and she acted like she would get people to replace the glass. Well, it's September 20th now. I called back in July, the first time. We never received a single phone call from them about fixing or replacing the glass.

I called out there several times to get updates. Granted, I know nothing about replacing glass. So maybe every customer waits for over two months to get any service. That might be expected. But what was unexpected and completley uncalled for was how unprofessional and just bitter the Colleen woman was on the phone. Awful. Never doing any business with them again. Not recommending them to anyone. The owner Jack should be ashamed to have someone like her talking to his customers.
