Austin Vinyl Windows - Custom Windows

UPDATE: If there was a 4.5, I would choose that. Within a few hours of my initial review, I received a voicemail saying our windows would be completed tomorrow and someone will be calling to schedule the install. They began the 2 day installation on May 31 and completed on June 1. The install team and process was outstanding. We both work from home, and there was minimal disruption to our day.

They do cleanup as they go from window to window and they were able to salvage 3 fairly new windows we had installed during a reno, so we can resell them. Also we are very pleased with the windows and happy we can now see through them. I would still like to suggest better communication during the long wait, as the proposed install date approaches, with a status update.

Also a bit odd, there was no follow up call after the install to confirm satisfaction. Thumbs up that they are staying on the reviews and moving over and above, but my expectation was simply to get a status call and check in as the planned install date approached and passed.

When we decided to replace all 19 of our windows, we had already decided to call Ringer, who had done the windows in my brother's house, and my parents' house, with rave reviews from them. Georgia came out and gave us a quote for the windows plus a sliding patio door. Fast forward 11 months (pandemic, supply chain issues, a bit of a mix-up on Ringer's end), and our windows and door have been installed.

During the time we were waiting, we got 2 letters from Ringer, explaining what was going on. Ringer makes their own windows, and they were working overtime, training new teams to do a quality job, waiting for glass orders to come in, etc. Greg Ringer responded to my emails, and eventually I ended up getting calls from Jake. Toward the end we were getting impatient and crabby, but let me tell you that the end result was so great that we are very happy. I'm pleased to be able to honestly write a good review.

We were able to tell immediately that cold air is no longer coming in at the window and door frames. The panes of glass don't feel as cold to the touch. The dogs are a bit sad that the hot sun is no longer beating in for them to bask in! All of the windows are finished beautifully - great job fitting/caulking/sealing. Our house had a couple of oddities which the crew were able to take care of perfectly.

We had some fake windows right in the front of our house, which had screens and curtains, backed by drywall. They were able to switch gears for a little while so I could go out and buy some blinds to replace the 40-some-year-old curtains that had been sealed inside. They installed the blinds for us. We have a bay window, and they had to replace all of the framing for that.

The huge blind that covered the bay window was damaged, and they actually made new brackets to get it back up and functioning. Ringer took down all of our blinds and put them back up as they were working. Throughout the process, the crew put down moving blankets inside and outside to keep everything clean. They picked up all the trash. Only one or two panes of glass got broken when they were removing old windows, and all of that was cleaned up.

Everyone was friendly, and communication was very good. It took 2.5 days to get all of our work done. There were only 2 tiny details that needed fixing, and they came out the very next day and took care of everything. The windows have a lifetime warranty as long as we live in our house, and if we ever sell the house, the new owners can get a 10-year warranty at no cost. Our Ringer windows were worth the wait. We just finished a whole house replacement of our windows. The house is over 20 years old and the window refurbishment greatly improved the overall look of the house. The care the installers provided was just like they were working on their own house. The design discussion originally done with Greg at the Ringer warehouse opened our eyes to using full picture windows that NONE of the other replacement window people offered as an option.

The change to the look of the house was like a fine collaboration of art that we get to enjoy every day. Georgia and Jake were a blast to work with overall. Truly don't even consider another company - the quality is here, the care is here, the cost is VERY competitive.

I wasn't in love with the sales person, but the price-point was comparable to other estimates we got, and we wanted to go local if possible. The team that did the install was great, and my daughter (2 years old) fell in love with Herman. She is still talking about him 6 weeks later and today even named her construction worker toys after Herman and Kevin. Thanks for doing a great job while also entertaining a toddler! The windows look great, and you can tell they know what they're doing, they have it down to an art.

Hey everybody - we just had our new windows installed by Ringer Windows! Amazing team - Sales, Customer Service, and Installation. It took them 3 hours, 3 men, to install 9 windows. Custom built in Taylor, TX with all the good stuff (double hung, full screens, split sash, argon + low-e 366 tempered, ds glass, and we even got a modified. grid for detail).

No mess, no issues, no need to hire anyone to finish out anything, they put down tarps, wiped, vacuumed, cleaned the windows, hauled off all the old materials. The price was a little over half of what Power was quoting. It took Ringer less time to complete our installation than it took Power to pitch their product. We definitely recommend Ringer Windows, Inc.!

Considering all the challenges COVID and social distancing presents, I was able to get the right service and quote for what I needed. Unlike other companies that I got quotes for, Ringer didn't try to push their higher-end models, they asked about my needs for the house, what I like, and we ended up having a mix of different price tier windows look fantastic.

The installation was amazingly fast, two days for 18 windows. The installation team was very professional and efficient. We love the windows; they tie up the remodeling we did this year to our home.

We love the look of our new windows and sliding door. I can't wait to see the difference it makes in the winter. We talked to four companies about windows, and we felt like Ringer was the best mix of quality and price, and they were up front and transparent about what we would get and what it would cost. No sales schemes or sliding prices based on when you sign your contract.

If you're new to window buying and have custom sizes, plan on 6-9 weeks turnaround. It was a two month turnaround for us, which isn't much beyond normal for a custom window order (average I've seen is 6 weeks, so that's only a two week delay during a pandemic for a custom made and installed product). Ask about custom options. We did a large privacy window that looks into our neighbor's house, and we did 70/30 windows over the backyard.

We went to several high-end hoity-toity showrooms/dealers in Austin when it came time to get new windows. None of them seemed interested in our "small" job of a mere 15 replacements. I had to call back and remind all of them to please give us a bid! They weren't exactly vying for our business. Fed up, we decided to make a drive out to the Ringer Window factory in Taylor. Greg Ringer--the owner--welcomed us into his office, sat down with us, and gave us all the time in the world.

He answered all of our questions, showed us all the specifics, and gave us a bid on the spot. Ringer Windows is the real deal if you want good old-fashioned Texas-style service and professionalism. They have their own installers (not sub-contractors) that do a stellar job, AND they clean up as they go! Our house was left in pristine condition. The entire process was flawless from start to finish.

The measurer, Jake, and the installation team were all top-notch, polite, punctual, and clean. It was a seamless operation. We could not be more impressed and would choose Ringer all over again in a heartbeat. We have rarely worked with such an exceptional company.

First time customer but was treated like family. Front desk, Sarah patiently took my calls reassured me the windows would be ready on time. Ben arranged delivery, Zack was here to deliver on time. Windows were better than any box store, and superior quality. The cost was comparable to any supplier in our area ( I shopped them all. ) My contractor said he wants to recommend them exclusively. I called to get a quote on replacing the front window on my house. The glass is under warranty, since we built the house a few years ago. When I called Ringer to get a quote for the labor, he laughed at me and said, "there's no company on the planet that would do that job." I was confused and asked why, especially since I called the home builder and they recommended another place that could do the job. But, I wanted to call around to get quotes that I could compare before blindly going with the vendor that the home builder recommended.

Thanks for the lousy customer service, at least I know that I will *not* be using you in the future if I ever did need to get the frame and glass for a window replaced that is not under warranty.

We just replaced all the windows in our 1970's home. The old windows were the originals and needed to be replaced desperately! I can not say enough positive things about Ringer Windows! The entire process was great, from the in-home sales rep to the quality windows and installation. The windows are all custom made to the existing openings, there. are choices in style and color, and the price was very competitive.

The installation process was quick and the team installing was so meticulous in the all aspects. Everyone that we dealt with in the company was friendly and helpful. We love the windows and immediately saw a difference in sound and heat transfer into the house. We are anticipating a reduction in energy costs! Another plus is they are a local company from Taylor. If you need all new windows or just a single replacement give them a call!

Mr Ringer is very unhelpful and down right rude. It's all about him not being the problem but the customer. I tried to talk to him today about the assembly of sliding glass doors adjustment and the problems we. were having. He insinuated we were the problem and would send an employee out at a service call of 79.00 after our purchase of Ringer windows. I was nice to him, trying to explain the situation but I was shocked that a business owner would act this way to customer who purchased his windows. Bernise Wilson

Getting my Ringer Windows installed today. Best windows, made in Texas, by Texan's for Texan's. Designed and built specifically for Texas weather.

We had our 30+ yr old windows replaced by Ringer. Excellent sales (educational!) presentation with no pressure and experienced installation team made all the difference, not to mention the appearance and functionality of the new windows! We contacted Ringer based on their stellar reviews and therefore, wish to add ours. Our salesperson was Georgia.

The installation team is Ringer's own, not subs. Their experience was evident. They were courteous, arrived when they said they would and left their work spaces better than they found them. Installation was scheduled at our convenience. Our windows were installed 3 months ago; so far, we are very pleased!

OK, so here we are in Texas. When I lived in Massachusetts. our last home was built in 1930 and had about thirty windows, single pane, double hung. We had storm windows for the winter months. I gradually replaced all the windows with vinyl frames and high performance (Low E ) glass. We no longer needed storms and e cut our heating and cooling costs dramatically.

When we arrived in Texas, ten years ago, I was shocked to see that even high end builders were still using metal framed windows. Yes, they had dual panes but without any insulating qualities. I have gradually replaced my Texas windows with vinyl framed windows with high performance glass. I got the first two on Craigslist from someone who had ordered them from HD but miss-measured.

Important to know, if you order windows yourself and you measure incorrectly, you own them. I ordered a few more from Lowe's and Now, I got one from Ringer. This experience will insure that I buy the last two from Ringer as well. These are nice people and easy to deal with. I am extremely pleased with the product. I had worked for Pella and my opinion is that Ringer windows are as good or better.

The price was very reasonable. I am doing my own install for this window but the next two will be done by Ringer. A few notes: The Vinyl in vinyl windows is formulated to the zip code in which you live. There are no quality issues with Ringer windows. Vinyl also reduces outside noise. The money that a few companies charge for their windows is ridiculous.

One company in particular will charge you $3000. per window. You will never recover that money in energy savings. Ringer is a good, solid company that produces a superior product at an affordable price.

Owner very short with emails, didn't seem to care to sell his product. When asked what made his window worth more than something that can be ordered at the local lumberyard. He never responded to 2 emails.

We love our new Ringer windows. They look great and are easy to operate. The house is so much quieter and it is much warmer on the cold winter mornings. We replaced 2 single hung windows with a picture window. in our living room and bedroom --- WOW! The installation crew (Herman) did a SUPER job! I tell people that our house was cleaner when they left than it was when they got here.

Just met with Georgia of Ringer Windows she was a delight; answered all my questions before I could even ask. Product, Customer Service; Personal Representative (Georgia) was the best; perfect; quality samples; she left me excited to get the product installed. I am in 100% and looking forward to the install. I give this experience my highest recommendation and I don't even have the windows yet so expectations are high. Thanks Ringer I feel like celebrating now! This was soooooo EASY.

It is a pleasure to review and recommend Ringer Windows. From the initial visit to the final inspection, Ringer performed on time, as promised and professionally at all levels. We had the 60-year old windows in our house replaced and couldn't be more pleased with Ringer and can recommend this company without reservation.

Excellent customer service. After trying to work with another store and failing (read my other reviews for unnamed terrible place), I ordered some specialty windows for the modern shed I was building. They were easy to work with and took my order over the phone. They confirmed the dimensions of my order several times and then got to work. Several weeks later we picked up the custom windows. They were perfectly made and came with quality screens. I'd highly suggest Ringer Windows for you next project.

10 stars in my book of stars! Ringer is a top notch window company that gives you superior quality windows, frames and installation. The fact that Ringer backs up their product and installation with a warranty is a key indicator they are good stuff. We really loved how the installers are not some third party dudes who show up and aren't really there to provide quality service.

Our installers (Ringer guys) were tremendous and very trustworthy! We couldn't say how more happy we are with the service they provided us and the amazing clarity of the windows. It makes such a difference in the look and see the lower energy bills already. We cannot wait to get the rest of our house done by Ringer! I wouldn't recommend anyone to go anywhere else. Ringer is THE best!

We are very happy with our Ringer Windows! Georgia, our sales person, was very helpful and patient with us as we worked to find a design that was just right. Visiting their show room was really helpful. Once we saw their options, we found a window for our master bathroom that both obscured the view outside and complimented our design so we now have more natural light in our master bathroom.

The windows are really good quality and make our house look more clean and modern. The installers were also excellent and were done in a single day. They also helped us fix an exterior door that had been needing some work for months. We are very happy with our choice of Ringer Windows - good quality and product.

They replaced all of my windows and a large sliding glass door. Best glass. Nice construction. Everything was perfect. The house is silent. No leaking, no humidity problems. Just snug. The company is local (in Taylor) and they manufacture on site. I had a question and the owner answered the phone, answered my question in seconds. I cannot say enough good things about the company, Ringer Windows, AND my gorgeous new windows. Greg Ringer (owner) came out, himself, to give me the initial quote. The price was extremely reasonable. Jake, the installer, was fabulous. I was referred by a neighbor who also couldn't say enough good things about Ringer. One of the best things about them is that they DO NOT outsource for installation.

They always use their own people. Locally owned and operated. windows are even manufactured locally by Ringer. Support local businesses and get the quality and professionalism you deserve. (I left this same review on Google, as well)

We just had an amazing experience with a locally window company. Ringer Windows came out and gave us a price to replace all of our windows. They did not give us a 2 hour presentation on why there company is the best, bla bla bla. What they did do is give us a good price for a good quality product (windows). They even invited us out to the factory to see the windows being made. The job was done in one day. The installers where a great bunch of guys, and kept the area clean. We highly recommend this company for your next window project.

Best experience with any contractor I've ever had.period. The windows were completed two weeks early, replaced in one day and--WOW--they look amazing! I had no idea having the windows redone would make such an enormous difference in my home. The glass is somehow crystal clear. I can't wait to get the front of the house done. Oh, and no surprises on price.they gave me a fair bid, then did it for what they said they would do it for.
