Cal's Garage Door

Our garage door needed new springs, but I wasn't completely sure that was all. They came out and fixed it perfectly, charged a very reasonable price, and did not try to sell me something I didn't need. In short, they are not crooks like most home repair companies I have come across in the last couple of years. HIGHLY recommend. I never write reviews but felt this was absolutely deserved.

I ordered a new garage door 6 months ago. The door was to be installed in 7-9wks. I've called every month to check on the status. Each time, I got a run around excuse, mostly putting blame on the Manufacturer. They have never called me to give update. But every time I call, the answer is "Oh I called the manufacturer yesterday to ask about your door but they haven't gotten back to me. I'll call you when they call me back." But Cal's Garage Doors never called me. I found them untrustworthy and unprofessional. I cancelled the job.

Cal Garage Doors installed a new opener for me. There were some issues with back up battery from the manufacturer. Cal Garage Doors were able to resolve it and it works great now. I appreciated them seeing the project through and working with the manufacturer to resolve it.

Cal's Garage Doors was recommended to us from a friend. Called to make an appointment for the following day. The technician showed up within the time window promised. He is friendly and professional. Our garage door spring was broken and the cables disconnected. The technician fixed the problems quickly. He even lubricated the other garage door and answered a couple questions we had. Great service!

Cal's Garage Doors installed a new garage door motor for me. They were super helpful on the phone, explaining my options, and were able to get me an appointment with a tech the next day! The tech arrived 20 minutes earlier than the start of my "service window", which was great for me. Maybe it'd be a good idea for them to call the customer first, though, as some people may not be available at the earlier time.

My tech was very friendly, and kept everything really clean while he was doing the takedown of the old opener and installation of the new one. The reasons I deducted a star in the rating (4 out of 5) were: 1. Neither the rep on the phone, nor the website disclosed that they assess a 2% surcharge to use a credit card for payment. The tech only told me when I went to pay. Furthermore, only cash or check were offered as acceptable other payment methods.

This isn't great for those who don't write checks or keep large amounts of cash on hand. 2. Neither the phone rep nor the tech were knowledgeable at all about the WiFi capabilities of the opener or how to set the opener up for HomeLink (button in car), nor was the tech able to help with the setups. This was a problem as I needed to get on a ladder to remove the cover he had just put on in order to complete the setup myself. This should definitely be part of the service call in 2022! I would use them again, and would refer them to neighbors and friends, even with the minor issues noted above.

My garage door lift springs were broken. They came out the next day and in less than an hour the repairs were completed. The cost was reasonable.

Lucio came on time, inspected the issue and fixed my garage in no time. I had called for a broken spring, he recommended some cables and so I got those replaced as well. Not only did he fix the issue, he tested everything out and went on his way. Highly recommend

Cal's technician was on time and brought correct parts and tools to get the job done. He was very detailed and careful with his clean up. Great product and value.

So my garage door wasn't able to lift and I called Cals' up Monday morning. I was able to have the technician out the same day. Keith was fantastic, diagnosed the issue, went to work and inside of an hour the garage door was working perfectly. This is the second time I've used Cals to fix my garage door the last time 5 years ago. Both times the service was very professional and hassle free. Dave and Justin provided excellent customer service. I've been using their service since 2014, and they have been dependable and have always been responsive. Recently Lucio came out and installed a quiet motor and followed up with garage door opener issues.

Thank for the service. My service was done while I was in another state caregiving my sick daughter. When I returned home my garage door felt like a new door. I am so pleased with maintenance it was well worth the cost.

The first time I called the women who answered the phone was super nice, but when I called to check ETA because I was waiting for a couple who were running late to pick up free furniture at my mothers home(as my mother had just passed away). I called and she was short and rude, but the repair person was wonderful, courteous and did a great job!

I needed a spring replacement and they did a decent job but after the fix the door would not shut fully. The gap was small but enough for leaves and insect to get inside. I complained right away and they even took pictures telling me they would follow up. But I waited for a month and had to call them again. They came in and fixed it for free. Hence taking out the one star.

We had a great experience with Cal Garage Doors. From quoting through installation, their communication was excellent, their pricing was fair and the door looks great.

I highly recommend Cal's for your garage door needs. I called Precision Door and they sent a technician who did not diagnose the problem. He tried to sell me on replacing the motor, springs and rails. He quoted me $3800. I called Cal's and the technician came out and looked at the motor. He said there was a broken part and he had one with him. He changed the part, lubricated the rail and door. Total was $185.

Mu garage door was binding and wouldn't go down. Lucio from Cal's Garage Door came out the same day I phoned and installed a steel angle iron on the lower section of the door which had been bending. Now the door works good as new. Excellent service.

Justin's team of sales person (Derrick), installation (Mark +) and Home link (Marcus) at Cal's Garage door were wonderful to install and help with Home link issue on the controller. Justin did a great job following up with Clopay delivery date on our garage door due to global supply chain issue on materials. It took longer than expected but we love our quiet garage door and the look that matches perfectly with our main house door. Plus vertical insulated tempered frosted glass on the right side has perfect lighting inside our garage. Thanks to the entire team!

Kieth came our and immediately found out what was wrong and fixed it. He then noticed that the rail was loose/missing a screw. Even though I didn't call them out to fix the rail (I didn't know it was about to fall down) he fixed it for me. So happy w/Cal's. I've actually had them out in the past and my experience was just as good. These guys are VERY friendly/accommodating and know garage doors. My opener is old, so will probably needing a new one fairly soon. I know who I'm gonna call.

After 20 years of use, one of our counter-balance springs broke on a large double garage door. Louis came out the next day and replaced both springs, the door rollers and even readjusted the automatic door opener. Great service - Louis really knew what needed to be done.

A few years ago. I blindly picked someone to fix my garage door. The experience was amazing. and I recommended it to a friend soon after. Yesterday my garage door opener busted and I looked up the text I sent my friend on my recommendation. Well guess what. it was Cal's. A few years later. Cal's still did not disappoint. They had someone out the next day. Lucio was professional, polite, meticulous. Got in, got out. Took care of business.

I originally was going to price shop a little. (why not? It's just a few phone calls). but didn't even bother after 2 minutes on the phone with them. Do yourself a favor and give these guys a chance.

Garage Door sounded funky, checked the rollers and checked at the spring. BROKEN! Called Cals and a technician came and replaced the stings and rollers. Works great! They do a fast professional job! So glad I have them to call on for my garage door!

Cal's Garage Doors installed our original door in 1994. For the past little while the garage would close -- touch the bottom and then open back up. Finally concluded we needed to fix. After 26 years Cal's in still very much in business. Lucio came out and adjusted some stuff and changed the rollers. It's MUCH quieter now and works as it should. Highly recommend.

In 2015 Cal Garage Doors installed my garage door. It was a great experience. Last night after normal business hours and during shelter in place my garage door had a major issue and twisted around 45 degrees causing it to get stuck badly. This was not Cal Doors fault. In a panic I called them and without hesitation they sent someone out to fix it. The price was extremely fair and the repair person fixed it with and even tuned it up. Can't be happier! Thank you Cal Doors.

I had a great experience with this company. They helped us with our garage door on short notice. We were unable to get the car out to go on vacation. Purchased the garage door from Cal 5 years ago. Good quality door with very reasonable price. 5 years after installed, it still works great.

Keith from Cal's installed a top 1/4 section of a Wayne Dalton door which was damaged when it hit a recycle box. He adjusted the motor down force, replaced the broken section and adjusted the springs and wheel with the steel rope. $600 for entire top 1/4 section with windows. Perfect match. Arrived on time and cleaned up everything. A+. They are the owners of Campbell OH Door.

We had used Cal's garage door to install the motor a little over a year ago (Jan of 2018). The whole plate came off today, I called Cal's and spoke to Justin, he refused to repair the installation blaming the quality of the door saying it's non-insuulated. 1) if you know the door is very poor quality and made from thin material why wouldn't you call it out during the installation process? 2) what kind of professional door installer would expect a heavy door to hold on two tiny screws and expect it to last?

They should have either called this out and suggested a metal plate or not done the installation at all. Suggest staying away as they don't stand behind their installations and blame the material of the door. What a joke.

We had two garage doors installed at a new construction site. Anthony and Shaun did a marvelous job with attention to detail and cleanliness. They had to come back because the sensors were not working correctly, apparently caused in the building construction process. But they put everything in order and with a smile. Highly recommended. Keith from Cal's came out to reprogram my remote ( it was stolen from my car last nite) he was at my house within 1.5 hrs. I was a bit panicked. Special thanks to the sweet concerned young lady who answered my call.keith not only reprogrammed my remote but the outside remote as well He checked the motor and noticed the chain was installed improperly, and fixed that too. Complete service was eternally appreciated! Senior discount and coupons on line were an added bonus.
