Hurricane resistant impact windows go through a series of rigorous tests. These tests are performed using the following six criteria: air infiltration, water resistance, forced entry, wind resistance, flying debris, impact resistance and 9,000 internal/external pressure cycles. This type of cycling simulates the buffeting effect of hurricane force winds after the window is impacted and typically broken.

Tried to be helpful with a replacement part but experience staff was not available. Scott on the phone did go the extra mile to find a possible replacement but it turned out did not work.

Central Windows does not stand behind there work. Several service people have given us lip service over the last two years. But they NEVER follow up. Last visit they actually said some of the defects were acceptable. We have multiple problems. no screw covers, broken seals, bent metal, oxidized metal, messy caulking! here just a few photos. Roughly $200,000 job with tons of defects and they still have not remedied.

***BUYER BEWARE*** This has been the most horrible company to deal with, right after the loss of my husband of 47 yrs I thought this might help me and it's been a complete nightmare. I ordered my windows back in April of 2021 (10 windows), they came to install in September and realized they had measured incorrectly on my living room window. It is now February and I find myself with no one responding on when the window will be completed.

They tell me its a "glass shortage, " however, my best friend at Island Club ordered her windows in Oct and they have all been installed. I have paid for most of the contracted amount, and now they won't take my calls. I am having a breakdown over this, they have left me with plywood on my living room windows since September, living in complete darkness, and my condo is threatening to fine me $100 per day for having plywood. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE ELDERLY AND SINGLE WOMAN!

Dear Bryan Martin: In November 2014, Central Window replaced all my windows for $10,785. The top arc of the living room Palladian window was $3,360 of the $10,785. A little over 4 years later, one of two parts of the arc window failed and Central Window charged me an additional $331 to replace it under "manufacturer's warranty". Now a little over 2 years after that replacement, the same window has failed again (I've sent multiple photos showing the defects).

Central Window proposed to charge me this time $555 for a replacement. When I objected to having to pay every few years to replace the half window, the other half of which has never failed, I received this letter from you in CW Management. Ms. Boehm, Good morning. My name is Bryan Martin and I am the service and installation manager here at Central Window.

I understand the frustration you are experiencing with the failed insulated glass and I assure you I feel that same frustration. This is unfortunately a manufacture related issue and in no way can be caused by a faulty installation, as such insulated glass failure does not come with any labor warranty from Central Window. The glass does come with a one year labor warranty from the manufacturer, which unfortunately is not applicable here.

I reviewed the proposal sent to you by Scott prior to you receiving it. The original quote was going to be $740 I took into account, at Scott's request, your previous need to have the glass replaced and made a concession down to the $555 for both pieces of failed glass. I am and have been on the road all week and am unavailable for phone calls until Monday if you would like to discuss this further.

I assure you we are trying to be fair and honest in this process with you and are doing everything possible to resolve your issues in a timely and professional manner. Bryan Martin Service Manager My position is that if the problem is "a manufacturer related issue." get a new manufacturer. In the meantime, as long as CW continues to replace my window with glass of the same inferior quality, I don't expect to pay for it every two years.

I expect CW to stand behind the cost of both labor and material. If CW refuses to stand behind their product and workmanship, I feel compelled to post reviews on C W's website, on the Better Business Bureau website, on Google, and on social media. However, I hope that I won't need to follow that course of action. To be clear, my expectation is that the work described in your proposal at the accompanying link will be done soonest and at no additional cost to me

BEWARE! I wanted to get screen door for front door and the estimate (terms on invoice) stated 60% up front and remainder when they received materials. When I requested for the terms to be changed to when work was completed they said (Chris M) that all monies had to paid in Full BEFORE installation. Being it was a small job I wondered what guarantees I had that 1 - work would be done properly and 2- in a timely manner. Well they aren't any. Chris could not work with me any further. Pretty sad.

I visited this small local business 3 years ago and every time I pass by I feel guilty not giving them a nice review. When I arrived to this shop I had the bottom part of a sliding door with shot wheels in it. I told them I needed help replacing sliding door wheels. The courteous lady took the piece to the back and before I looked around she came back with the new wheels installed for a very reasonable price. I wish to see more businesses helping customers like Central Window. I was absolutely blown away. Highly recommended.

Central Window provides superior customer service and has an array of window and door manufacturers in which to choose. It's cool too they carried the after market and even genuine parts to repair my older windows.

This company charged me big bucks just to give me an estimate, and more big bucks to repair the window with no credit for the estimate cost. Window used about 20 times then broke exactly the same way, not the glass but the spring loaded side mechanism. Company will not respond to calls to repair it. I wouldn't trust this company to make quality repairs.

Salesperson, staff are great. There is no communication once the order & money are taken. We've been waiting since Feb. The windows are suppose to arrive at the warehouse today. I have called for every update & haven't spoken to anyone in a couple of weeks. The doors we ordered have been there for months. The pandemic is to blame for everything including poor customer service.

We used Central Windows to replace all windows in our home a few years ago. We recently noticed one window "looked dirty" and would not clear up. I contacted them and followed a simple process to have the window replaced under warranty. We did pay $140.00 for labor (think it should be less) and in about a month and a half we new window was installed. Looks great and just like the others. Very satisfied with how they handle their business.

Called for estimate for window repairs. Told the charge was $115 to come out and look to give an estimate. They were recommended by a friend so I made an appointment and they were a no show for the scheduled appt day and no phone call to explain why.

My big store window got smashed at 3 am. I called Central Window and left a msg and by 7:30 they called me back. Had it boarded up that day and got my glass ordered. It came in 2 days earlier than promised and Boyd and DJ got it installed early! Everybody who either boarded it up or installed the new glass and even the ladies who called me to give me the status updates was professional and courteous and they got the job done right. My mom used these guys for her renovation and was happy with them and I will use them from now on for any job that requires glass. Thanks so much!

Always polite, professional and competent. I replaced every window in our beach home with hurricane windows. They provided an excellent product at a fair price. Our salesman was Patrick. I own a business and recommend this company without reservation.

Terrible terrible installation. this the first review i have ever written, but want to put others on notice. Prices are within a couple of hundred dollars of other door and window companies in the Vero area. I live directly on the beach and wanted to replace a door and window in my kitchen with high impact products. Their salesperson, Patrick, came to my house and I placed an order.

The product that arrived was not high impact. Fortunately, I was home when it arrived and sent it back. From that moment on, the company denied writing the order incorrectly, etc. etc. I was leaving for the season and finally agreed to take the door and window that had arrived. The installation of the window was done well. The installation of the door was a nightmare. they arrived at almost 5pm and were obviously trying to finish the job quickly.

The molding outside the door was never finished, recessed screws were left without plugs, and silicone around the openings was spread all over the back doorstep, where they had taken the molding off in the kitchen area they had ripped off chunks of wall and left it as was. And, on top of that the installation crew spread one piece of sheeting over a couple of kitchen cabinets, and the rest of the kitchen, dining, etc. were covered in dust and grit. Calls were never returned after I complained, etc. You get the picture. AVOID THIS COMPANY. It cost me almost $400 dollars to have the door frames finished properly and to have the mess cleaned up. Worst experience with a contractor in 12 years in Vero! After great work by this company about 3 years ago, I went back for a small job, a couple of replacement windows, and was completely mishandled by a Sales Rep named Jeremy. I tried to mediate with him, based on the advice of my Credit Card customer service pro at Capital One Visa, and this totally inappropriate Central Window employee hung up on us!

I was told by the Visa employee that she had never encountered such a lack of professionalism and I agree. Never again with these folks. too bad. I'm not sure management knows what a liability they have on their hands with this unprofessional, apparently inexperienced salesperson!

Run from this company. They are poor on customer service. I dealt with Cassandra, the office manager, as well as Wendy Labadie, the comptroller. After my 90 year old father paid a 50% deposit, he never received an invoice for the remaining money owed. Cassandra called me to say if the bill was not paid that day, it was going to collections. When I talked with my dad, he was so upset about the potential ramifications to his excellent credit score. These tactics are not the way to treat the elderly!

Had an exceptionally good experience! They were attentive, patient and less expensive for window replacement than their competitors. They replaced a post without charging. After sales, they were wonderful in returning to property to re-stretch screen. AWESOME. Highly recommend!

This is the company i went with for my vacation home in Vero. For my original job in 2009 which was glass doors repair and conversion of tub to shower install, i got two bids from the major players in the area that have been around 30+ yrs--both bids were within $200 of each other. From contractors i know in the area, they said to go with Central Window.

A guy named John helped me. No complaints--he explained when the crew would be out. The crew was on time quick, cleaned up after themselves, seemed to be quality install and haven't had issues in past 4 yrs. I have used them two other times in 2010 and 2013 to upgrade to hurricane proof windows for every bedroom. I ask for john both times and would recommend.

The installation itself was done well and the product is solid and passed inspection. The company denies that anything went wrong and it was just an issue of communications. OK, suit yourself. We paid a premium for this product, just FYI; the fee included a $ 300 fee for drawings ( never seen as no one came here, and at installation the drawings we saw were stock) and permit ( county told us that was $75). So, nice people but CAVEAT EMPTOR.
