In 1996, he took those ideas and founded Douglass: a full service glass business in Cadillac. After working in my parents' glass business, I wanted to branch out. I wanted to try things a different way and in a different area, said Doug Sengelaub. With the help and support of his wife, Melinda, Doug Sengelaub moved into the former Garn Glass building.

DouGlass is also a manufacturer of quality insulated glass. We don't buy our insulated glass we make if right here in Cadillac. So you get the best price and the shortest lead times. We have the ability to manufacture almost any thickness of insulated glass. With options for low-e, obscure and various tints.

Doug is one of the best small business owners in Cadillac. We got our windshield replaced, but unfortunately hit a rock a month later, cracking it again. Even though it wasn't covered, Doug split the difference with us, only charging us $100 (rather than $205) because we had just gotten it replaced. He even bought us lunch for the inconveniences. A truly amazing guy! Thank you so much Doug! We will definitely be back!

Our windows were installed last week. The two men who did the instillation were wonderful. Unfortunately they forgot our screens. We made the mistake of paying the final payment before the screens were delivered. My husband and I have called multiple times and keep being told "the screens will be delivered today". But it hasn't happened yet. Word of advice, do NOT pay these people before everything is completed to your satisfaction.
