Glass West

After calling a few vendors attempting to get my 11 window screens and slider screen replaced Glass West pulled through. Brian showed up on time. Was professional and immediately got to measuring the windows. The quote was right in the middle of all the quotes I obtained so it seemed fair to me. The only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars was there was a bit of a breakdown in communication.

After I accepted the bid and told them I was ready to move on they sent another gentlemen out to make sure the window measurements were 100% correct and then I never heard from them. I was expecting to pay a deposit or be given a time frame. But I never heard back from them until about 1.5-2 weeks when they called to say the window screens were in and they wanted to schedule installation.

I was relieved because I thought they had forgotten about me. Brian came back out and installed everything. Again very professional and thorough. Even came back and fixed the sliding screen door that wasnt latching. All in all, I am glad I went with them and am very happy with the new screens.

Glass West was the best in handling the replacement of my living room double pane window. There was a slight setback due to a rock hitting our glass on the freeway, but they managed it with professionalism and ease. Every person I spoke with was so nice and knowledgeable! Would highly recommend them!

I called several vendors, only Glass West was up to the task. It was simple, replace condensate glass on two windows, one a glasshouse window. They completed the task with no drama and my windows look great! I will have a few more windows in the future for them, extremely professional!

Great installation experience. Good price. I would have appreciated the installer spend 15 minutes wiping off his smudge marks and sealer bits from glass at completion.

Brian and his team took excellent care repairing my windows that leaked in atmospheric river storms. They helped me work with my insurance and answered all their questions. Glass West recommended A+ Plastering who managed the stucco excellently as well. I would highly recommend both of these companies for your home repair needs.

Quick service on taking down what I wanted a quote for, although had to call back next business day to ask what the final quote was. Prices seem fair and reasonable. They had a lot of glass options to choose from. I am expecting the order I placed to come in within 3-5 business days which is what they quoted me. I will update this post if the order doesn't come in within the expected timeframe.

After an attempted burglary of my home (while I was there), I was desperate to get my slider boarded up for the night. Sunday night, holiday weekend complicated the search. After numerous calls to "emergency glass repair" advertisers, Glass West delivered. Brian showed up within the hour. He was pleasant, professional and efficient. By 7:30 am the following morning, Glass West had called with a very reasonable estimate and booked an appt to install my glass. Integrity from the beginning to end, Forever grateful.

Fast and friendly. Our cat tore our window screen apart. Glass west re-screened it for $25. A good service!

Rapid turn around and, even better, they closed early for the holiday and stashed my item outside so I could pick it up even though they were closed! Great service. I have used them several times and always happy.

Stephanie is the worse receptionist. Waited 10min on hold just to hear "This is Stephanie can I help you" and then she hangs up before I can say anything. Call back and she said "can you hold" again and I told her I was just on hold and you hung up after answering, she said "oh no what happened" and then puts me on hold again.

Dave was very helpful in getting my measurements and showing me how to replace my balancers on another window. Within days a technician came out to the house and installed the new window. Very clean professional, wore proper ppe gear. I am always looking for local businesses and Glass West will be my go to in the future. Thank you, Jeff J.

I had a break in a large single pane on an old rope. The original estimate was very reasonable. It ended up that the window needed to be tempered so there naturally an increase in price. The original installer didn't do a good job. He left the window with chunks of wood missing. The putty to seal the window was put on unevenly and started to fall off as the window popped out.

I called Glass West and they got a more experienced person to fix it the next day. Rick did an excellent job: he spent time caulking the window frame, explained what he was doing and educated me on window installation in kind manner, and cleaned up afterwards. I'm happy with the good customer service. They made it easy to get the problem resolved.

They did a great job repairing my sliding glass door in less than an hour. Professional. Called on a Saturday and they came early Wednesday morning! Great price. Thank you so much!

Had Glass West make a glass top for an antique desk. Desk had several curves and it turned out beautiful! Glass West talked me through the process of getting a template made. They have also made custom glass shelves for my kitchen in the past. They do terrific work! So if you are thinking about an unusual glass piece, call them!

Unbelievably fast, professional emergency glass repair. When a burglar smashed out the glass in the entry door of our commercial business, we called Glass West on a Sunday and our call was answered by a receptionist - not a machine. David called us back in less than 5 minutes with an offer to board up the door, and it was done within the hour. The next morning we received a phone call with a bid for glass, and it has now already been replaced with a perfectly matching section of glass that is stronger than what was replaced. Excellent product and service!

I needed to replace the two sidelights that flank my front door. I priced out the cost of glass or plexi glass at Home Depot and Lowe's in addition to contacting Glass West. Glass West gave me a very good quote. Their customer service was top-notch every step of the way, from the people on the phone, to the guys who did the install. OUTSTANDING company--great customer service, great prices, and quality work.

Someone broke into my restaurant on Monday by smashing in the front door glass. A Sheriff's deputy called me at home and I met him at my business at 9am. At around ten, Anna at Glass West promised a tech would come out by 4pm if not earlier and quoted me a price even before I asked. Lonny called and came out at 2pm. He boarded up the door in a flash and promised to come back with the laminated glass asap.

He took away the broken glass. Lonny called the next morning to let me know the glass was ready to install and Anna called to confirm the previously quoted price. Lonny came out with a fellow technician and installed the glass, again in a flash. The second tech wiped the glass clean. You guys truly impressed me with your high energy and professionalism in taking care of my problem. It is 11 am Tuesday and we are back in business as if nothing happened.

Impressive! I had a number of windows that were foggy on the inside and in a day - they all disappeared. A team of 5 were here and went through and replaced what needed to be replaced. Thank you Team! I also had custom shower glass installed. The team removed the old, cleaned the tile before they installed the new frameless shower glass. All done in a day! We had Glass West come out to our house and install our windows I had them come back out because I told them that I smelled mold they told me that I was crazy well I had Service Pro come out and do a report and tell me that indeed the windows were leaking because the company did not seal the window properly they've took a no responsibility for this I've contacted him many times and now I'm contacting the contractors board I strongly advise anybody not to trust Glass West they do not back up their product or their word

I have used Glass West on a couple of occasions for table top glass. The first time I went in was for a simple square glass table top that had broken. They were able to knock that out in a couple of days and it was relatively inexpensive. The glass workmanship was flawless and the edges were beveled and nicely polished. The second time I went in, it was for a custom irregular stop sign shaped glass with thicker glass and a smoked color.

The price definitely went up. And to be honest, I had a little bit of "sticker shock" for the quote they gave me! When they explained the process, which required the job to be outsourced a specialty vendor, who has a special saw to do the cuts for a pattern cut, I realized the expense and the work involved that they needed to go through to do this job correctly.

I went ahead and had them do the work. When I got it back, it was flawless, well polished with a pencil bevel on the edges and fit my custom cherry wood furniture perfectly, that I had custom built in Pakistan when I was in the military.a long long time ago! NOTE: if you do a cut for, other than a square piece, I recommend that you bring in a pattern so this shop, or any other shop that you may use, can do the job right.

If you give these guys clear instructions and a pattern, you'll get exactly what you paid for. A nice piece of glass that looks good in your bedroom or living room without any flaws or scratches. At Least for me, that is exactly what I want!

Just had all new windows and sliding glass doors installed in a house my wife and I just purchased. The windows look great, the installers were clean and respectful (one even helped my wife move our baby's swing into another room for her) and the owner kept me informed of the timeline throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend Glass West for all your glass needs!

Called these guys come out to replace what we thought wasn't tempered glass, turns out it already was. Didn't charge us at all. Stand up company!

From the person first person to answer the phone- Anna to David in measuring and finally the installers Lonny and Eric.this is good group of people. They are very professional. What I liked about this company is that they watch your best interest as the property owner and not theirs. Anna and Stephanie whom man the phones are very easy to talk to and engage very well. David came out to measure and I really felt that he was out to educate me and did what was best for my property and did NOT try to UPSELL me and did not sound scripted like most companies do.

He is very casual in conversation and matter of fact. He helped me look for ways to accommodate my project and that meant a lot to me. I own and flipped alot of properties and this is the first time I used Glass West and they definitely left a great impression. They are fair priced also. And lastly, the installers - Lonny and Eric. These two work very efficiently.not fast and sloppy.

They left my windows very clean that I was concerned birds may end up slamming into the windows because they looked like no glass was there. I will definitely recommend this company to others.

Needed a new screen track for my screen door. Took in the old one and they ordered me a new one. Part came in the day after ordering it. Thanks for your great service and communication around it!

Sometimes you get what you pay for. and sometimes you get more! I don't usually give five star reviews but if I need more glass work done, guess where my money is going! We needed a very large mirror installed with a limited budget and crazy deadline. Everyone at Glass West was professional and courteous, even when they knew they couldn't get the work done on time they let me know up front. when the stars aligned and they had a last minute opening they were on top of their game with expert installation and great communication. They showed up on time. They got our mirror installed early, and everything looks great! We love these guys!

Good customer service. If I need a new mirror or glass replaced, I'm calling them first.

I just had Glass West replace the glass in a large sliding glass door. When the door was broken (on a Saturday morning), I made several calls to different companies. One company told me that they could come out to measure for new glass more than a week and a half later! Not Glass West! They called me back within 30 of leaving a message. They came out on Monday to measure for new glass.

They just installed it (Friday) for what I feel was a very reasonable price. Everyone that I've dealt with at Glass West has been great! I definitely recommend Glass West!

So everything was great until I had to pay. I called Glass West two weeks ago. They came and measured in a timely manner. They called last week to schedule a replacement date, Friday July 28th. So I took time off work and waited for my repair. Well, early afternoon I received a call that my window broke in an accident and they can reorder and install on Monday. Great!

Not a problem. Monday July 31, I take another day off work, my window arrives, gets installed. So I call the office of Glass West and ask if there can be some kind of discount due to the inconvenience and I having to take off two days of work. I was told, "If I take money off, how would we make any money". "If I take money off for each mistake, how would the company make money". "we cant control accidents, sorry you had to take more time off of work, but I just don't take money back for that". WOW, so much for some customer service. You cant even give a 10% coupon for, yes an inconvenience. I guess its ok your customers loose money.

So I came home after being gone a few hours. I went into the kitchen and I heard a crackling sound. I though it was just the wind pushing up against my window. I opened my patio door shades and found the remnant of some idiot. Some punk(s) threw a rock from over my backyard fence and managed to take refuge on my glass patio door. The precise trajectory of this idiot amazed me.

He could have been an NFL quarterback playing for the Atlanta Falcons.oh wait, never mind, they lost. Kinda like this loser who threw the rock. So after virtually mf'ing this guy, and I hope I unleashed Karma, I go to my trusted source. YELP. I found this glass company and spoke to Dave. He immediately set up an appointment to come measure the glass.

It didn't take long, a mere 10 minutes. A day later, Dave called back and set up an install appointment. I told him I was available any time and we decided on a 2-4pm window. Install day. I got a phone call from the company saying they were on their way. Gizmo showed up 15 minutes later. He cleaned up the broken glass and did his thing. The complete install was seamless, just under an hour from the time he arrived.

Very professional and he explained what he was doing the entire time. Needless to say, I could have used this money for other important things, but that's a part of home ownership. So if you're ever in a pickle from things beyond your control, such as broken glass.definitely give this place a call. I highly recommend them.

Unethical way to do business. Took advantage of an emergency opportunity and overcharged too much. I asked their competitors for the price, and they said a rip off. Police did a non-emergency force entry in my home, and had to break the glass door. They charged $350 for a two plywood with 4 screws they put to cover up the broken glass window. For fun, I asked how much to do the job of the broken glass, they quoted me $487. $529 a brand new door in Home Depot.

I feel like i was scammed. Here is my original e-mail: Window is 28X58. It is a slider. It slides left to right. Not up and down. Both sides are cracked. Only the inside piece of glass is cracked. Here is the response from the owner, David Blake: Hi, you are looking at $298.00. Measure Monday install Wednesday. The guy gets here and says it's going to be $320.00.

Not that big of a deal, 20 bucks. 2 days later, a different guy comes to install and one of the windows was 1 inch too short. Again, not that big of a deal. Mistakes happen. Next week he brings the correct size out. One guy is at the truck doing the work, the other guy brings the invoice to me and says $521.00 Now it's a BIG DEAL. I feel like the strategy was the fact that my glass wasn't completed so I had to pay.

To top it off, my glass is filthy. If there was a contest for dirtiest window, I would win. While they were working, I was in my back office working and I didn't hear any sound coming from my living room. I walked out to see how they were doing. they weren't there, they just left, didn't say anything. So, now I have to get out my ladder, take out the screen and clean my NEW $520.00 window.
