Des Moines has a plethora of roofing companies. Many with good to average ratings, but the proof as to how responsive you are to your customer base is when you get a call for a situation knowing your books are full. Well, Hedberg responded within hours with a fix to a damaged shingle problem even though their books were full way into the next month. For the quick service we thank the owner and his team

Had a roofing issue that was damaged by the wind, Most roofer's schedule were backed up for a month or more, but the owner made an exception and came out to inspect the damage, took measurements and clipped the dangling piece that could have become a safety issue if left hanging and Within days the damaged shingle was repaired. Now that is service. Thank you Hedberg!

I highly recommend them to any and all. They reroofed our house in 2014, and did an excellent job. They were very organised and professional. They cleaned things up as much as feasible at the end of each day. We recently had a small leak- not in our roof but in our siding -which they diagnosed and fixed.

20 years ago I would have given them 5+ stars. Called them for a quote on roof and gutters based on our initial experience. A gentleman came out said there was a recall on our shingles. He took some of our shingles off to begin working on a claim. That was in June. Since then we have called and emailed and never get a reply. How can people do business like this? Treat customers like this? It's very disheartening.

All I know is they have not even started a job yet and they left a manlift in our development without even telling the property management company for a couple of weeks stating "They are going to help us with a 18 year old roof warranty". We actually called the police to report the lift missing and we have kids playing on it and we have informed employees of the company of kids playing on it and when asked when they would be they gave no response and the lift is still here and we try and keep kids off of it but these guys must be paying for these reviews here.

Cannot say enough to describe the wonderful crew who replaced our roof. Professional and friendly and efficient. Pricing was very fair. Not one leaf was damaged in our dense gardens and trees. Not one shred of debris was found after the job was completed. We had Hedberg Roofing install our first roof replacement over twenty years ago. That roof lasted quite well. This new roofing is beautiful!

Hedberg is a great roofing contractor. There follow up after the installation is unbelievable. We had our roof installed 9 yrs ago. This winter we had an ice dams due to the heavy snow. I called Hedberg 2 separate times and they were on site within 24 hours to break up the ice. Our roof is fairly complicated with lots of nooks and crannies, and nothing could have prevented the dams. (Bad architecture) the Hedberg crew is top notch going beyond expectations. Highly recommend!

We live in an Historic house, and searched for an experienced, skilled craftsman to replace our traditional, wood shingled roof. Hedberg & Son was by far the best we found in Iowa. The boss, Eric Hedberg as well as his crew treated us fairly and with respect. The 2 roofs we ordered are functional, tight and beautiful. The price was reasonable. They cleaned up after themselves, they even washed my skylight windows! We would use the company again and highly recommend them!
