Despite the 6 month lead time, this was an overwhelmingly positive experience. The entire process was very professional and very efficient. We are very impressed with the overall quality of the window installation and the overall quality of the product. The installers were punctual, very polite and highly skilled. I would recommend Johnson Home Improvement to anyone looking for window replacement solutions.

They were actually on their way to our house to do their work.on the way there, they cut me off and were rude about it. I don't know if they notice it was me on the road but afterwards I am not sure why they didn't finish the job. :

My wife and I just had Johnson Home Improvement replace all 25 of the windows in our home with Milgard. We shopped around quite a bit before deciding on Johnson Home Improvement. We chose them because there price was very competitive, their reviews were great, and the owner Glenn did a great job of explaining to me how their installation process worked.

I could tell right off the bat that he takes a ton of pride in the work that their company does. The project went smoother than we ever could have hoped. The crew was fantastic. They showed up on time, cleaned up at the end of every day and were extremely friendly. The windows look amazing, and I think they did a superb job. We even had a different contractor working on a separate project in our home comment on the high quality of their work. Thank you Johnson Home Improvement!

They did a great job replacing our sliding patio door. Glenn is very knowledgeable about the available options. The crew arrived on time and quickly installed the door level and square. They installed trim that fits precisely and is neatly caulked. The final result looks great!

They were very knowledgeable, spent plenty of time with us showing all of their options. They were great to work with. Started the job when they said they were going to. Took 8 days like they said from the get go. Cleaned up everything every night.

Glenn, Laura, Peter, and Joe all went above and beyond our expectations. Glenn knows his product, selling us some great windows and a beautiful sliding door. Laura made all the paperwork so easy for our rebate from the energy savings program. Peter and Joe did an amazing job installing our windows and cleaning up each day. Johnson Home Improvement does a very professional job, and are great to work with, my wife and I highly recommend them!

Excellent product and excellent install crew. Glenn's estimate was very fair and I am very pleased. The install crew was superior. They had to work in high heat, with a few wasps flying around, and deal with old crappy vinyl siding. They never complained once, well not that I heard anyway, clean up was also excellent. I am very satisfied, and that's rare!

We have a sliding glass door that became very hard to open. We could see the "track" was out of alignment somehow. Although we tried to fix it ourselves we had no luck. It is a Milgard brand door so we found Johnson Home Improvement on Angie's List. Glen came out right away, fixed it in about 20 minutes and did not charge. He said just remember us for the next project. We definitely will!

Glenn and his crew were total pro. They replaced a handful of windows and a door and we are very happy with the quality a=of the work, AND they showed up and finished as scheduled. Awesome.

We had Johnson Home Improvement replaced 2 windows and install a French style door in to replace our sliding patio door. Dealing with Glen, the owner, was a very pleasant experience. He showed me the windows and door we would be getting and described what it would look like after they were installed. What he described is exactly what we got and we are very happy.

The installers had some difficulty with the French door because our opening was not square but it came out very good. There was a problem with the lock on the French style door and it did not come with the retractable screen that we ordered. Glen called Milgard and had these problems fixed quickly. We would buy from Johnson Home Improvement again because their customer service is top notched.

We have used Johnson's to install new windows in our entire house and were very pleased. We recommended them to two neighbors who were also very pleased. Recently one window developed a leak. We called the owner, Glenn, who called back immediately and came over. We tried to find the source of the leak, when it appeared not to be at the window site. Glenn said it doesn't matter as he guarantees his work.

He came back the next day with two of his crew and supervised them to cover every possible area where water might get it. This is really backing what you do. In addition, the Office Manager, Laura, is sharp, and a pleasure deal with. We give them Five stars.

The windows are good but the communication/service is very poor. From confirming the install date to replacing a flawed screen, I have been the one to initiate the communication. I'm still waiting - 5 months after install - for my flawed screen to be replaced. If I wouldn't have made the call myself to follow up, I would never hear back.

All I get is excuses and promises for follow up but nothing is getting done. No, it's not the biggest job or the biggest problem but I believe a company should at the very least communicate and follow through with the customer and complete the job. New windows are a high dollar investment.

We found Johnson Home Improvement through Yelp and contacted them based on the number of positive reviews. This was their busy season and we had to schedule an estimate about a week in advance but we understood that summer is busy. The estimator is also the owner of the company and we found him to be informative and pleasant. He came on a Wednesday and explained that because they were so busy we would not see the estimate until Friday or at the latest Monday.

By the end of the day Monday we had not seen the estimate and on Tuesday we called several times without answer and then emailed the company. We received a return email from a receptionist (who was very pleasant each time we interacted) informing us that we would receive an estimate later in the day which we did. The estimate was more than the two we had received before it, but was still in line with what we expected the project could cost.

Our plan was to obtain 1-2 more estimates, compare them carefully and make our choice. We wrote back to the owner and explained that other estimates were lower and that one agreed to some trim work that was not covered in the Johnson estimate. We sent a copy of the other estimate to show that our claim was accurate. The owner wrote back and informed us that once they write an estimate they do not negotiate prices and we respected his position.

We asked if they would consider including the small amount of additional trim work specified in the other estimate and they agreed. At this point all signs pointed to using this company- good reviews, positive experience with owner and price that was slightly higher than others but close enough we were satisfied. The next day I emailed the company back informing them of the status of our project, that we had one more estimate that had been scheduled in advance and that afterwards we would make our selection.

We understand that estimates and communication take time and we wanted the company to know where we stood. The next morning we received an email from the owner which said "When I agreed to your request regarding the additional work at my expense, I assumed we were moving forward with your window project. Considering that is not the case, I am going to withdraw my proposal at this time." Quite confused, I called the company (no answer) and followed up with an email which stated, "We have attempted, in each case with good intentions to clarify the price and scope of the window project estimates provided by you and each contractor.

When spending over 10,000 dollars, it makes sense to know precisely what each company offers and what they don't offer so we can make the best choice. I am having trouble understanding how [asking about additional trim work] indicated to you that we had selected Johnson for our project and I apologize if the confusion was on my end. After we received the final estimate we planned to make our selection. Does this mean that Johnson is not interested in this project?" I followed up with another phone message a day later but never heard back from anyone at Johnson Home Improvement.

I made one last attempt to call the next day, left another message but did not receive a return call. There are a lot of positive reviews for this company online and in general we really try to give folks the benefit of the doubt, but our experience with Johnson Home Improvement was confusing and in the end, disappointing. Communication is challenging- we made 8-10 calls over the course of 2 weeks and only had a person answer once. Emails were not answered promptly (although except for the last one, they were answered).

After the "withdraw my proposal" email, and subsequent misunderstanding, we did not have any calls or emails returned. We communicated honestly and in good faith, spent considerably time trying to clarify the proposal. In the end it just feels like it should not be this hard to spend over 10,000 dollars.

I called Milgard directly to ask them for a local contractor that could sell me windows and also do the install. Emediatly she referred me to Johnson Home Improvement. What a refreshing contrast to the typical contractor. Professional and personable from start to finish Glen and his crew were fantastic. I had all the windows in my house replaced and they did a great job. They were fast, quiet and they cleaned up as if they were never there. Wow! Thanks again Glen!

I live on a very busy street and was looking for window solutions. We found that Milgard had a quiet line series of windows and suggested we call Johnson Home improvement. Glenn came out and to give us an estimate and I have to say he is such a nice guy. After some time of figuring out if we wanted to spend the money on the Quiet Line windows we decided to go for it.

The installer just came out and was very nice and respectful making sure to cover the inside where the windows were getting replace as to not get dirt inside and once the job was completed, you could not even tell that someone had been out to replace my windows other than the fact that I had nice new windows installed. After a night of sleeping I have to say they are worth it! Thanks so much. I will for sure have them work on the other windows that need replaced in the future and will recommend Johnson Home Improvement to anyone.

My parents purchased all new Milgard windows for their entire house in March 2006. Since then (2011) my father has passed away. Unfortunately my Dad was the one to always take care of these things around the house as she is not very aggressive in dealing with people. In December 2013 one of the bathroom windows shattered during a cold freeze we were having.

She contacted Johnson Home Improvement since that is who they purchased the windows from knowing that the windows are under a Full Factory Lifetime Warranty as long as she lives in the house. Johnson Home Improvement came out, replaced the window and charged her $288.25. They did not tell her to contact the factory as they should have so that she would not have to pay as she is on a fixed income now.

Since then, 2 more windows broke during the winter, she contacted MIlgard this time and they replaced the second one at no charge and the 3rd is set to be installed in about a week at no charge. I called and spoke with the woman that works in the office at Johnson Home Improvement, she was very rude to me on the phone and to my Mom in person when my older sister took her to their location awhile back and tried explaining the situation.

I also talked to the owner on the phone, who could not help. I don't think it would have hurt them to pay back this measly amount to my Mom. I know that I will not shop here nor will I recommend it. My husband I recently purchased windows, so glad we went elsewhere.

Glen was just out and fixed our retractable screen door. that I thought was going to have to be replaced at a huge cost. No charge. Yeah! Everyone has been very helpful, from the first phone call, to referrals to Milgard service department to timely arrival for home visit. I'll definitely call them again for any window or door needs that we have.

They installed 8 Milgard replacement windows for us in early spring, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The owner (Mr. Johnson), office staff (Arlene), and installer (Darryl) were all very helpful and thorough. I appreciated their low-pressure selling style. They were highly responsive and timely in all phases of the job. The installation by Darryl went well, and we are very happy with the care he took and his excellent workmanship.

They sent us the paperwork for our Energy Trust rebate immediately after we made our final payment, so we could apply for the rebate as soon as possible after the work was done. With the cold and hot days we've had this spring, it is noticeably more comfortable near the new windows. We are very happy with our experience with this company.

Just had brand new windows installed and couldn't be happier with the quality, workmanship and overall process. Knowing nothing about windows, I attended a window seminar advertised in the Oregonian at the Milgard factory and heard the details of installation from Glenn Johnson of Johnson Home Improvement. I learned so much from the seminar. Afterwards, I visited several other windows manufacturers and installers and never got anywhere near the level service or price offered by Glenn. Glenn came to our home twice to measure and then we ordered the windows.

His brother, Peter, was the installer. He worked efficiently and cleanly. Our old house is so much warmer and looks so much better. We've had lots of compliments from our neighbors. We are so happy with our new windows, Glenn and Johnson Home Improvement.
