After I backed into my garage door, Overhead Door promptly fit me into their schedule to come out and take a look at the damage. It was not able to be fixed right then but the technician did fix a broken piece on the outside of the garage that was completely unrelated. They worked with me to get the repair scheduled in between my busy schedule and fielded numerous calls and questions from me and I greatly appreciate that!

Can't say enough about these folks! I called at 7:30 a.m. to have look at a problem with our older garage door (it wouldn't close). With a snow storm on the way we were worried we'd get a garage full of snow. They had someone here to look at the problem by 9:30a.m. and the door was fixed by 5! Everyone that helped out was professional, friendly and straightforward. Thanks!

Poor product control. Over the years I had purchased several thousand dollar's worth of doors from these folks. It now happens that most product comes incomplete and it seems as tho the front office has very little regard for others working for a living being inconvenienced by that fact. The question becomes do you pass the cost on to the client or absorb it?

After a few incidents it becomes Obvious it's monetarily more feasible to shop the big box stores for their higher end doors which are very comparable. When the service of the item sold is no longer available for defective product or constant missing parts the big box stores help desk becomes as adequate and less costly up front for similar product. Regards Slightly dissatisfied customer

We had two doors installed this summer. The wrong track was sent the first time and one door did not seal on the bottom. I called and asked to have it fixed. Tech came back out and swapped out the track, he said they should have sent the right track the first time. I agree but why did you install it knowing it was wrong? Second time the 1 door still not sealing at the bottom. Very displeased. We are doing to need a threshold to keep snow and rodents out. Quality doors, poor installation and service.

Mica came and looked over the opening, said he had been an installer for a number of years. Told me one big door would be a bit cheaper than two smaller ones and could be easier to work with. Two competent techs came and did the install using all of the available mounting holes so that the 18' wide door would stand up to the winds on the coast. It has run smoothly and quietly for the last four months. Glad I had Mica and OverHead Door do the work rather than buying the parts and doing it ourselves. The price and service were good.

Top quality service and products. They arrived quickly after a problem with our original doors prevented my wife from getting her car out of the garage saving the day (I was on a fishing trip up north). Installation of a pair of new, carriage house-type doors was smooth and the price was very competitive. Fast responses to any technical or operation questions.

My daughter recently contracted with Overhead Door Co for a garage door replacement. Her experience from day one, in her words, has been impressive. The sales associate (Micah) with whom she negotiated was knowledgeable and extremely helpful in assisting her in the selection process. When she received and reviewed the proposal, she decided to make some design changes and asked me to speak with Micah since I also had a few technical questions. However, since he was on vacation, Derek Gotta, Micah's Sales Manager took the call. Mr. Gotta was extremely helpful and more than willing to address my many questions and made several helpful suggestions.

In short, both my daughter and I agree that both employees reflect much credit on Overhead Door Co and themselves. We have full confidence that the technicians who install the door next month will have the same approach to customer service. Brian H. Nelson Cheryl M. Nelson

Poor quality control on their doors. Its clear looking at my install they just wing it since they dont use the guide points for screws because the parts dont line up. I now have 2 new great looking doors that produce loud pops creaks and crack noises when opening and closing. One door also has a noticible gap difference between 2 panels that catches my eye.

Should have used the other local company based on feedback post purchase from talking to people. Sounds like they get you on repairs really bad. I'm sure I'll need some soon with how clunky my doors sound.

BUYER BEWARE! Price gouging to an unethical extent for parts and labor. Labor is $71 an hour, not bad for an hour, but tech was only at my place for 25 minutes. Still charged for an hour of labor. They don't tell you but they also charge $1.80 per mile, round trip from their shop even though they may have another repair in the area. PARTS are way overcharged.

See attached retail prices of the exact torsion springs I needed. Retail $56 to $96. I'm sure their wholesale cost must be less probably $40-$50. The manager refused to tell me their markup but charged me $199.50 plus the cones, which I didn't need, at $48. I even asked the tech how much this was going to cost and he replied "about $200" so I was quite surprised to see a bill for $357.41. Go somewhere else and save a lot of money

Our garage door opener was mis-behaving as of late and finally gave up the ghost. Overhead Door Company of Bangor came on short notice to assess our situation. From the lovely woman who answered the phone.to Steve in Service and the highly personable repairmen - you could not ask for a more pleasant repair/replacement experience. We are very pleased and recommend this company highly.

The replacement installation went smoothly. The new opener is quieter and comes with many options regarding security. The workmen came at the appointed time. In fact, Steve called to confirm in advance. No waiting around on our part. They worked rapidly. When finished - they explained how the opener worked. Made sure we understood everything and provided a manual, etc. They left the garage tidy. When they departed they thanked us for our business. Truly an impressive experience. Excellent customer service. Equitable pricing too.
