Overhead Door Company Of Houston

I had a very poor experience with Overhead Door recently. They quoted me $175 when I called for an estimate and they charged me $315 instead of $175 to replace & reprogram my garage door openers. This took 20 minutes for $315! I've called the general manager 3 times and he has not returned my call.

Don't use this company! Explained how my door was broken and what caused the door to stop working. They DID NOT ask me the model# nor the make of the garage door opener. They did not explain to me, before hand, that each time the tech comes to my home, a trip charge would apply. The tech arrived and he did not have the part on his truck nor was the part in stock.

They said they would have to order the part and send a tech back to install it. My dispute is that they want to charge me two (2) trip charges, $113 each. Seems they did this intentionally to collect $226. Why should I be penalized financially because they don't keep parts in stock? This is a stick up! Now a collector is calling my house for $113 for not fixing my garage door.

I should have read the BBB review before contacting this company. There was another customer that had a very similar issue. This must be common practice for Overhead Doors. You've been warned.

The repairman was faster to arrive than promised, had many years of experience, was polite, and worked quickly and effectively to patch my broken spring (until the part is in stock). As in the past, the work was well done and very fairly priced. This is a good company, and I'll call them for all of my garage door needs.

Chance was very helpful and informative. We had a great connection and I felt like he truly cared for me and my personal needs, not just another transactionally focused salesman. Look forward to doing business with him and the company.

My father in-law garage door spring broke to hopefully save money we took the broken snoring to Overhead Door Company of Houston on south Main @ Stella Link. When we got there we met a guy out front taking a smoke break he asked what we needed so I showed him the broken spring we went inside the front office the guy took the spring to the back of the shop!

After about 20-30 minutes the guy came back with the broken spring along with a new spring he said he had to make one! Cool i thought we got what we need and after 15 more minutes the guy come back with an invoice (no one had given us a quote on the cost!?) Knowing after research online new springs depending on quality the price range from $50-$90 could be purchased locally!

I only glanced at the invoice i thought the amount was $62.30 so thinking thats a fair price I gave it to my 90 year old father in-law to pay with his credit card which he did! After 5 hours of trial and error i finally got the new spring installed safely and correct! While I was cleaning up my father in-law mentioned the price was $162.30 not $62.30 like we had thought!

I said this amount is way too much (my father in-law is on welfare social security ) and Id call them the next day which i did the manager said that's the price! What a rip off! I can remove the spring and get a refund she said! Really! Risk my life doing so NO THANKS! BUYER BEWARE! Overhead Door Company Of Houston guarantees nothing unless they install it and it is guaranteed they will OVER CHARGE you and do not care for elderly customers barely getting by! They are in business to rip you off period!

Called this morning to see why remote was not connecting. Had a technician here within a couple of hours. Our system was old so needed a new one. Billy was thorough, friendly, took care of everything and garage door was up and running quickly.

Ordered the garage door several months ago. Paid $1800 Deposit. Complete crickets except for monthly text saying it will be another month. Last update was last month saying it would be available 8/30.still no word. They don't really live up to all the hype as I'm still without my garage door. They say it's a supply shortage so why take deposits and give a delivery date?

They were very prompt, diagnosed the problem quickly and made the repair in less than an hour. Technician explained everything that was wrong and what he had repaired everyone that I dealt with at the company has been polite courteous and professional.

Very professional and prompt expert service. Eric, the technician, repaired our door after other companies did not have the expertise. Highly recommend Eric and Overhead Door for excellent service.

I can't say enough good things about this company. They came highly recommended. After having a horrible experience with another company, I called the Overhead Door Company for repair of our garage door. I spoke with Evelyn, she was professional, provided helpful information and told me exactly what we could expect in getting the garage door repaired. This company exceeded my expectations. The price was reasonable, the work was exceptional and the tech, Eric, was great! I will definitely use them again if I needed to.

They do not honor their "LIFETIME WARRANTY".I have three of these door and none of them rusted except this one. They refused to stand behind their warranty.

We were having issues with our garage door and visited their location here in Houston. We were greeted promptly and professionally by Evelyn. She was a real delight and provided us a tremendous amount of us useful information. A service call was quickly scheduled with technician Erick. Wow, was he great! Prompt, genuinely caring and very professional. I highly recommend Overhead Door!

We needed to replace our garage doors for a long time and after reading reviews and checking prices, we settled on Overheard Door Company. I emailed first and received an almost instantaneous response with exactly the information I requested. We also found a coupon on their website for the doors we wanted. We went to the showroom and Mario was fantastic.

He explained all the options and wrote up the order. The installation tech arrived exactly on time and did an amazing job of taking down our old doors and installing our new doors. He was a complete professional. The doors look wonderful and he cleaned up after the job was done and he even hauled away our old doors. The price was better than other places with the coupon and we appreciated the personal, professional service, despite the fact that we were buying their least expensive doors. I would recommend them without hesitation.
