Steve in the service department helped me locate a part that none of the retail stores had. He was professional and courteous and called me back each time I called. I was running a bit late and they left the package out side for me to pickup after hours. My faith in humanity was restored. Complete class act. This is my first stop for all my new windows and doors. Great people.

I ordered a solid-core replacement door for my powder room. Their selection is great and the service was wonderful. I would definitely recommend them.

Replacement windows are not easy to properly source. Their techs are pros. Great job.

This company has the worst customer service and work ethic I have ever experienced. When I moved into my newly constructed condo, there was a piece missing to open the window. They scheduled more than 8 appointments to solve this issue, including bringing the wrong piece more than three times and eventually breaking the existing window frame to install it.

At one point, they brought a white piece for a black window. I'm still waiting for a fully functioning window after almost 2 years of moving into my place. When I erred my frustrations for the first time directly, I was told my complaint was unproductive and unnecessary. Still waiting. Do not recommend this company if you want competent workers and friendly customer service.

I have 10 year old wood JeldWen windows. Almost every window has the weather striping falling off and several windows have wood rot. When I called last year asking if they can take a look at them, I was told I'd have to pay a fee to have them come out and then if they were to replace them I might get a little taken off the price since we are previous customers. Several windows were installed with large gaps that they filled with silicone. This isn't how you do business.

Terrible customer service. This company came out to measure several windows in my 5 unit building. They provided a quote within a few days but the quote didn't break out the needs by unit as requested. After calling and asking for that to be done, strange things began to occur. After 3 more calls asking their team to follow up - which was met with enthusiastic "yes, so sorry, I'll talk to the manager and them call you" resulted in no follow ups at all. They seem to be a messy business. Suggest looking into Semko Windows for your repair replacement needs. They were prompt, clear and consistent in service.

A couple of years ago we purchased a new townhome in Orland and found we had major draft issues with our kitchen sliding patio door. Apparently, the original builder did not set the door correctly and the wind would come through on windy days, keeping the kitchen cool. After research, I found Schaaf Window company, Tinley Park, who specializes in Jeld Wen windows and doors. Casey came out, he was professional, pleasant and corrected not only the door, but, one of my windows that was not set in correctly. We highly recommend this company to anyone with Drafty windows or doors.

When faced with the project of replacing most of the windows in my home, my research indicated that two things were most important. Find a local window company that has been in business for awhile, and that has their own installation team. I found this in Schaaf Window Co. in Tinley Park, IL. Rich Deckinga was very knowledgeable and helpful through this process.

He came to our house and looked and measured, and he answered our many questions. After the windows were ordered and built, the Schaaf installers came out. They were very professional, courteous and highly skilled. I am extremely satisfied with the end result, and I would recommend Schaaf Window and their team for your window needs.

We have used Schaaf Windows previously and this was our third time and as usual they were outstanding. Rich Deckinga is so great to work with. He knows his products and is very honest and trustworthy. His recommendations of what are best suited for our needs have been consistently perfect. The installation teams are very neat, considerate, on time and perfectionist (Thank you Jimmy and Corey) at what they do.

When finding a contractor you always hope for a good experience. In our case we remain loyal to those who have proven they will do as they say. Schaaf Windows lives up to their promises. Thank you, Charles & Gail Commerford Frankfort, Illinois

I went to Four different places before I ended up here. No one at the other places seemed remotely interested in helping me. I worked with Loren Taylor, who was amazing. He was patient and was genuinely interested in helping me pick the right doors, trim, crown, door hardware, and even helped with a custom window caseing of our own design. We remodeled the first and second floors of our home and even though it was an exhausting process-- it was nice to work with this company and especially, Loren Taylor.

Now I know why this business is only 2 1/2 stars. Poor coordination of returning calls to customers and WAY HIGH IN PRICE. It's like they would prefer to lose business. How do they stray in business! SOO glad I passed on them.

Great installation and service! We got our windows from Schaaf and had them do the install and we were impressed by how helpful and professional everyone there was. Sales staff was friendly and helpful with choosing the right windows, and install team was on time and did a great job, we haven't had any issues in over two years since we've gotten our windows. I highly recommend Schaaf to anyone looking for new windows or doors.

STEVE in service is TERRIBLE to deal with. Smug attitude, has an answer for everything. They cut an adt alarm wire when they replaced a side light in our front door and they didn't tell us. We had to pay adt for a service call for something they damaged. We paid them 500 for the installation. They refused to pay half of the 107 service call.

Just finally completed all the windows in our home. We did them on 3 trips due to the cost and we didn't want to take a loan out. Windows cost a lot no matter where you go. It takes about 6-8 weeks once you order. We had problems with our install on 2 of the trips. The second install the guy left caulk in 2 spots on our hardwood floor. We never called about this because we are planning to resand them.

This is very careless on his part because he did have tarps down. The 3rd install the guy who put one of the octagons in never leveled the window. So as they were ready to leave and my husband checked the work it was obviously off center without even placing a level. The guy fixed it before he left. Now that the work is done, we are happy. Windows are beautiful. Just make sure to check everything over before they leave.

Very poor customer service along with very poor installers. I purchased two doors, front entry and rear French doors. They replaced the rear doors five times mostly due to poor installation and the front door twice also poor installation. They are very expensive to purchase from with very poor installation and customer service. I would not recommend these people for any doors.

Had several company's out for estimates to replace the vinyl clad wood frame windows on the front of my house. The estimates ranged from 18k to 64k for full replacements. Called Schaaf they came out and suggested only replacing the thermo pane windows. My frames were not rotted and in good shape. This ran about $3700.00 a heck of a lot less money.

I didn't have to get new blinds, window casings ect. The installation was quick and done in one morning. The installers were nice and professional. Very happy and would recommend to others.

Got a custom window replaced by them. Very expensive service charge (around $500), on top of the cost of the window itself. Three guys came out to replace it. We weren't happy after they left because they was some leftover mess and caulk on the window (which is 2nd story, so we couldn't clean the outside ourselves), both inside and out. We asked them to come out and fix it/clean it up.

They scheduled an appointment 2 weeks later to do so. When they finally came out, the service person who did the inside work seemed annoyed about it and acted as though we were just being picky about the caulk. He finished his work and left, after which I looked at the window and there was still untrimmed caulk that looked messy on some areas of the window inside but not others.

I went out to the truck and asked him to come back in. He rolled his eyes and said "that's just how we do it." I showed him the uneven caulk and said, "That's how you guys normally leave it?" He didn't respond but did finish trimming and cleaning the caulk. Anyway, in the end, everything is reasonably acceptable, but I wouldn't use this company again due to the very high service charges and bad attitude of the one service person (who never once apologized or even acknowledged that they might have done a better job the first time around). For $500, I'd expect a more professional job and customer service.
