Truckee overhead door responded to my after hours voicemail the following day. They were at my front door two days later and fixed my broken motor in one hour. They did it for the cost they originally estimated and were friendly and easy to deal with. I highly suggest calling them for any garage door needs.

Let me start off: the doors look great and they did a great job! However, they added an additional $500 to my bill due to a mistake on their part, and I wasn't happy about this. They measured my rough framing and we discussed where everything needed to be for an 8' door height. My ceiling was not complete on this day, but a few i-beams were up to get a proper floor-to-ceiling height of 9' (I have pictures to prove this).

I shopped around, but eventually I went with Truckee Overhead door and signed a contract with them, even though it was more expensive, they were local. After I signed the contract, I noted via email to them that they said 16" of headroom, but we only had 12" and asked to make sure that was okay. They said it was no problem. The lead time was a month longer than expected, but come install day, everything went fine.but they added $500 to the bill for a low overhead track.

They had some communication problem about the headroom, and I was surprised to have this extra fee. I would have given them 5 stars if we had not had this problem. It's better to keep to your original quote than to nickel and dime your customers for a mistake they made. Again - - I have pictures to show the heights on the day they came.

My husband called at least 5 other garage door businesses. Not one showed up for a scheduled appointment.until he called this RELIABLE Company. There was constant communication and on the date of our appointment, Jayson was even early! Which we appreciated! He quickly replaced our 21 year old garage door opener with a new, state of the art system and connected our phones as well. If you want reliable, professional service with fair prices, look no further! You will not be disappointed!

Our garage door cable broke late Thursday night causing significant damage to the door. We called first thing Friday morning and they sent someone out that same day. He (I believe his name was Jose) arrived at 3:30 and had everything fixed within 2 hours. New cable installed and had door open to get my car out then closed it so they could return Monday for some minor tweaks to make everything work smoothly.

We thought we'd have to buy a new door but everything was fixed with minor charge. I can't recommend them enough! Saved us so much money and they were super responsive! Nobody wants a big job late on a Friday but he did it for us! Super nice and knowledgeable! The best service.

Messaged them on Instagram to ask a question about my renovation in a totally different city and they kindly got back to me with an answer in just a few days. A+.

Wow! Called with broken spring just before 9am, Taylor showed up and had it fixed and adjusted by 10:30. Yes he just happened to be around the corner, but he showed up, knew his job and just got right down to business. After forty years in industry, I admired his quiet competency. Will definitely not hesitate to call or recommend.

I have been using them for 4 1/2 years. Great customer service and their employees are very polite and know what they are doing. They also came masked up.

Have been super helpful over the years - installing a new garage door opener a few years back and then doing some service on it recently when a critter was causing trouble.

Replaced our 40 year old garage door motors with new ones that have photocells to keep the young ones safe. Also lined up our doors so no more critters can get in. Great work, thanks Truckee Overhead Door!

We added a garage as part of an addition 4 years ago. Brand new garage door that froze shut within the first 6 months. Our contractor came by and got it working the first time, telling us that we should call Truckee Overhead Door where we purchased the door. We have had at least 8 reoccurrences of the problem and the Door people have been out two or three times.

The problem is that they never make a fix and claim that they cannot duplicate the problem though a year ago they also said the motor may need to be replaced. Admittedly its an intermittent problem, but evens intermittent problem need to be repaired. Maybe I'll change my rating if and when this door is working reliably.

Truly horrible customer service. Started out great. Made an appointment. They called the day before to confirm and gave me a two hour window. Two hour window was almost up so I called. Got a recording so I left a message. No return call. I called again and spoke to Alex in the office who was as UNHELPFUL as possible. She informed me she couldn't reach her technician ("he must be at his other job" wait. What?) and if she could reach him by 5pm he'd call me.

If not, she'd re-connect with me on Tuesday (this happened on a Friday at 4:25PM) Needless to say no one called and no one showed up. An explanation or even an apology would have gone a long way, but I was offered neither. HORRIBLE COMPANY. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I mean how hard is it to make a phone call and let me know they are A. Running Late. B. Had something come up and would like to kindly re-schedule. C. APOLOGIZE for making me sit around on a busy holiday weekend when they KNEW no one was going to show up. Disrespectful and they obviously don't care about their customers.

Very fast response! Nick came over, assessed my problem, did a quick temporary fix and advised what was needed. I will definitely call when I am ready to replace the cheap garage door left when I bought my house in SLT.

These guys have terrible customer service with absolutely no since of urgency. Everything is 2 weeks out Your better off finding someone to come out fro sacramento or reno.

Truckee Overhead Door was recommended to me by my son. One of the springs broke on our garage door and we were left without a functioning garage door. They came out to the West Shore the next day and did a temporary repair until the correct springs came in. The office followed up with me and scheduled a return visit with the new springs. The door technicians as well the office staff could not have been any more professional. 5 star service!

This company is a team of professionals from Molly and Megan in the office in scheduling to Brian the service tech they sent - all involved were courteous, professional and knowledgeable and the doors now work like new. Brian shows up in time and got right to work and finished the repairs in short order. Another company recommended replacing parts without even looking at the project - I couldn't be happier - Truckee Overhead Door Company came though - they have no clue that I'm writing this review but they sure earned it, old school business with family values and integrity gets my vote every time.

Terrific service! Arrived on time, friendly, knowledgable. Spent over an hour locating the problem and fixing it, then serviced entire system. Price was incredibly reasonable, especially considering included time spent, driving to & from office, and a new part. Couldn't be happier, recommend them to anyone.

I can highly recommend Truckee Overhead Door. They showed up promptly took care of my garage door problems. I called another overhead garbage door co (George and Sons) in Carson and the told me they couldn't fix my garage door because parts where no longer available, they wanted me to buy a new opener.

I contacted this company through Yelp to schedule an appointment. They replied promptly and scheduled an appointment. They had an emergency to repair the Truckee FD door and contacted early to let me know are reset the time to the afternoon. They showed up on time, did a thorough inspection and repair of the door. From the appointment, to the service, this company was terrific and would recommend using them should you need a garage door repair.

Truckee Garage Door helped us design our Garage door in 2013. They have provided impeccable service on it since then. The last call on the door was an emergency and they were right there. I asked for an invoice and they said the cause was a part failure from last years service. It shouldn't have broken, so the repairs were covered under warranty! These are special people.

I have been using a competitor for years and decided to make a change when our garage door broke for a second time. I called Trisha around 9 am. She called me back an hour later and said she would have a technician out after 3 pm the SAME DAY! Eric did an amazing job and fixed everything. Great folks and easy to work with! We recently purchased a home in TD that needed both garage door systems replaced. I don't have time to mess with it so I called Truckee Overhead Door and they gave me a fair price and a time to do the install. I left the lockbox out and the following day I was there and the new openers were installed, everything was clean and they did a great job! Simple as that!

Yesterday, I call Truckee Overhead door and expected to wait for days before anyone responded to help us with our garage door. Instead, we received fabulous service. Megan was wonderful at getting back to us to let us know that David would be looking at the situation before the end of the day. David arrived on time and fixed the door in a brief time frame.

Had an issue with our garage for a house we just bought. We made the appointment on Tuesday and they were able to accommodate us by coming at a specific time we requested. Alex and Gavin were on time, very professional, and made me feel very confident about their abilities and their services! Alex found the problem in a matter of seconds and they fixed the door and were out as swiftly making sure every other component of the door was greased up and working.

I just bought a house that has two garage doors but very limited ceiling space for the openers. (Only a few inches.) Many people suggested that I contact Truckee Overhead Door, so I did. The installer who came out (Dylan) first told me it didn't look like it could be done. This is what I feared, considering that the house was built in 1981 and no one had ever bothered to install openers before.

But Dylan took this as a challenge and he started making phone calls to get opinions from others. Before long, he told me that he was confident he could make it happen. A few hours later, I had to two functioning openers. In addition, the quality of Dylan's work was top notch. Wires were placed intelligently and cleanly. He was thoughtful enough to make sure wall mounts were placed exactly where I wanted them, and he even thought to program the remotes so that they were left/right correct when the remotes were upside down on the car visors.

Even more impressive, Dylan did maintenance on the doors themselves to make sure they stayed functional and smooth. I can't tell you all he did; I just know that the doors now open smoothly and don't sound like a bunch of tin cans. In short, he did the type of job I would have done myself if there had been a hope in hell of me being able to do this!

I have a contractor doing work in the garage today. I told him to just send me a text when he was leaving and I could close the doors via my phone. He thought this was the coolest thing, and I agree. :) Absolutely no hesitation in recommending Truckee Overhead Door. Nice folks; great work. Was it more expensive than buying retail openers? Yep--about twice as much.

But I didn't buy just the openers; I bought the problem-solving and the installation. Had I purchased openers on my own, it would have been the afternoon from hell before I gave up and tried to return them. Instead, I have functioning openers and I'm writing a Yelp review.
