Vans Cabinet & Door Shop opened its doors for business in 1971. We are located in the Oak Tree Center on Highway 108 and Draper Mine Road, Sonora Ca. We specialize in custom wood working from cabinets, entry and interior doors, millworks, and all associated hardware. We are a smaller shop with 9 employees that produce quality woodwork. Van's Cabinet Shop opened its doors in Sonora by Marion Van Veldhuizen in 1971 across the street from Rubes Restaurant. The cabinet shop was primarily overseen by David Fickel with his 22 years in the business and managed by Ron Loewen along with his 30 years in the trade. The door shop was overseen by David Guzman with his 29 years of expertise in the door industry.
David started in his dads door shop at 14 years old and is still going strong handling complex residential and commercial projects. Jesse has been with us for 18 years learning everything he knows from his mentors Ron Loewen and David Fickel. Following in their foot steps he manages the cabinet shop.

This is the "go to" place for custom doors and trim. Dave and staff are amazing to deal with and incredibly knowledgeable about their products - and there is a lot to chose from. Van's saved the day with experience and good prices. I had a commercial project with fairly complicated lock set configurations. Vans was able to order the doors and proper hardware with zero issues and in a timely manner. The quality of the pre hung doors were well above Lowe's for roughly the same cost. All the trim was pre cut and easy to install.
I even had a existing door I wanted to replace, but was told it was in good shape. I was even instructed on how to uninstall and install the same door on a new frame they provided. It looks great, and saved me money. Van's saved the day for my small company, and I would recommend them to anybody. Thanks Van's!
