We started having gutter problems a couple weeks before putting our house on the market. Shiner came out and didn't try to upsell. They did the job quickly and efficiently. Nice people. We would definitely use them again.

We still have a roof leak near our fireplace. Two consultants could not find the cause, so I called Shiner. They came promptly, apparently diagnosed the problem, provided a substantial estimate and we signed the contract and the contracted work was done. The leak is in a room not often used, but about a year later we discovered leakage in the same spot. I called Shiner and again they responded promptly, showed me pictures of what is very likely the source of the leak and told me they would review the situation for warranty consideration.

The inspector who showed me pictures of the problem (damaged flashing near the chimney) indicated it should have been found on earlier inspection. Hearing nothing for about a week, I called and was told that metal cap needed was not included in the repair contract. When one calls for a professional inspection for a roof leak, one trusts the inspector will do a thorough job finding the problem. If the problem is not something the company is prepared to repair, they should tell you at the time of inspection, not make $3973 worth of repairs without fixing the problem!

Shiner's salesman, Jack, was extremely professional with a great personality. He took his time asking what our concerns were for the house. We were looking to change out some exterior weathered wood and to have it all wrapped to slow future weathering. He set our expectation when the work would be completed and followed up through the time with updates. The two teams that did the work were amazing.

They arrived early in the morning and one night left into the dark. They worked efficiently and seemed to move pretty quickly to get everything done. I couldn't be happier with the result. Jennifer was great with her communication. From phone calls to emails. I was well aware of what would be next and when. I highly recommend Shiner's.

Shiner installed four skylights for me in January 2022, replacing the original four from the 1980s which had failed and were leaking. They were swift to give me an estimate and booked me in for a few weeks later for the installation. The price was fair, the service was excellent, the staff incredibly courteous throughout and I will definitely use again. I should mention that they had done work for me on my roof at my old townhouse so I knew what level of service to expect. I was not disappointed.

Update: Shiner sent someone out to determine the cause of the condensation problem. It's not a fix yet but at least now I can start addressing the problem. The communication with the initial inspection and the project manager was poor and took weeks. Much of the stress and frustration could have been avoided. I am hopeful that once I get the detailed report a remedy will soon follow. On a positive note there seems to be a good cache of photos from the installation and inspection to have for reference.

We could not be more pleased with the roof replacement by Shiner's Roofing. Our wind damaged roof was replaced by a talented team of installers who took the time to install the plywood where needed, the custom molded flashing, shingles and sealed every possible point to prevent future leaks. Finally, they meticulously cleaned the entire area around our home of debris and nails. To date we have not found a stray nail! The team was dedicated, outstanding and efficient. I highly recommend the sales and installation team at Shiner's.
