Recommending Mike Boyden and Overhead Doors/Builders installed for some top notch customer service. We had a spray foam insulation job completed about 2 years ago in our basement. this season we had some pipes freeze in the crawl space due to a part of the foam work that was initially sprayed incorrectly. Once the problem was identified, Mike and his team promptly responded to our concern and came to redo the work at no cost to us. They even offered to cover the cost of the plumbing bill from the damage that got repaired. Highly recommended.

We had an old door and old opener. These guys are awesome. From the estimate process and getting us what we needed. To install. They were able to come a few days early for install, which was a nice surprise. Dan did the install and he was very fast and efficient. The door looks absolutely amazing and I cannot believe how much quieter it is than our old clunker! I would recommend this crew to anyone in the Vermont area who needs a door!

POOR INSTALLATION AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE followed up by attempt to gaslight me when they respond to my review. Overhead Door Company installed our two garage doors. About six months after installation some of the frames around the windows on both doors would stick out a little. We would just push them back in and they would be fine for a while.

We figured it was because of the extreme cold weather. After several years of dealing with this, the glass fell out of one window. I called the company and set an appointment to have someone LOOK at the door before we left on vacation. They were kind enough to fit us in. The repair person arrived more than a half hour earlier then our appointed time, (when we weren't home) entered our garage, did the work without our approval, and left a bill. ($140 to replace one frame of glass) When I was inspecting the work, I noticed all the windows now have screws in them.

I realized that when they first installed the doors they never screwed in the window frames. I called them to discuss this. I was bounced around between several people, was told someone would call me back. Talked to that person, they said they needed to speak to the installer and call me back. When he called me back, he said that the door was not designed to be screwed in that is why it didn't have screws.

I asked why did the frames come with screw holes? His tone became hostile as he gave me a weird answer. I said I understand this is many years later but it clearly was caused because the screws were never installed. He responded by threatening to come remove the glass and screws if I didn't pay. After his threat, I asked to speak to the owner. The owner called me back several hours later.

He said I should have complained when the doors were installed. No apology for their mistakes and blamed me for not catching their poor installation sooner. He said he would call me back when he decided what to do. No apology for his threatening employees behavior. He didn't call us back before we left on vacation. We returned, no message on the machine. #overhead doors #garagedoors #betterbusinessbureau

This company installed two garage doors at my home 10 years ago. A cable on one door finally rusted and broke. I called last week and service was scheduled for this week. I live in northern NH so I didn't expect next day service. Dan arrived at the scheduled time and very quickly and efficiently serviced the door in question. He serviced the second door as well which I appreciated. Given the distance for the service call and the speed with which Dan worked, I'm glad I won't need to have either door serviced for another 10 years. Thank you Dan!

No stars for our experience. We have been trying to repair our door for several months. It took awhile to get a "tech" to our location to assess the problem. He was friendly, appeared knowledgeable and indicated that the repair was relatively easy, as the parts are maintained locally. it took several weeks to get the estimate, but once received, we attempted to make an appointment.

We were informed that the Company would not make an appointment until we signed a contract and paid half of the estimate. It was indicated that the deposit was needed to order the parts. That seemed to contradict the information provided by the "tech". It took over a week to get the contract, but we signed it and brought it to the office within a day.

The person present at the office took the contract and a credit card number. I asked for a receipt and it was indicated that it was not being processed immediately. I asked that a receipt be sent when the payment was processed. No receipt was ever received, although the deposit was processed. We called the office on multiple occasions to get a date when the work would be completed.

A second employee schedules the work, although she apparently does not take phone calls because she never took our calls, despite our asking for her specifically. After many calls, we were informed that someone could make the repair the next day. The appointment was to be first thing in the morning, so we made sure cars were moved and the area available.

After two and a half hours of waiting, we called the office only to be informed that the "tech" had called in sick. Apparently, no one from Overhead Door thought to call and let us know. So, we now are waiting for an employee to call and set up a new appointment. Perhaps, we will get our repair done before winter.

My torsion spring broke last Tuesday rendering my door inoperable. I called immediately. I was assured that I'd get a call with an appointment window. As of Friday afternoon, I had not received a call, even though I'd contacted them a few times during the week. How can you run a business by not giving at least a date for a repair call? I patiently waited over 3 days for a call back to get a date.

When I called, all I kept getting was "they're scheduling a few days out." Ok, give me an appointment on the next available day, then. At least then I'd know when to expect service. As it turned out, I called a local outfit on Friday afternoon. By 8am Saturday morning, my door was in operation with a patch. My replacement spring is on the way and will be installed this week. Meanwhile, I have a door that operates.

Now that's service.get the client up and running to get time for ordering/fabricating the required part, and do it promptly. This is not my first bad experience with Overhead Door. I once tried like heck to get a quote on 3 interior doors when I was finishing my basement. It was nothing but a hassle with repeated call-backs and massive delays after getting no communication on direct inquiries.

I felt like I was bothering them. It's a shame, since they're the ones that outfitted my entire house with both interior and exterior doors, and I figured that it would be good to give the business to the company that did the initial work. I'll just have to take my business elsewhere if they're not interested in even giving me a date for when they can come out.after 3 days of waiting.

This review is regarding their customer service prior to the service (which never happened). I needed a repair on a garage door. I called them to schedule service. Instead of scheduling an appointment they said someone would call back to schedule an appointment. This should have been my first indication that either they have an antiquated scheduling system or they don't care about their customer's time.

Why can't they just schedule an appointment? A few days later I received a call from them dictating a time and date.not asking me what worked for me. Telling me when they could come out. Unfortunately the time available did not work for me. They were unable to schedule a time that worked for me (and them) and said someone would call me back to reschedule.

See a pattern here? Over a week went by and no one called. Today I decided I just needed to get the repair done. I called another garage door company (Limoge & Sons) and they were able to come out same day. I really should have just gone with them in the first place. They were quick, friendly and reasonable. What a giant waste of time it was trying to give Overhead Door my business. It's obvious that the customer isn't a priority based on how they operate their business.

I recently had some major maintenance done by these guys on a pair of 25 year old doors and they did a great job. They contacted me less than 24 hours after my on-line request. After making an appointment for a few days later, Nate called me the day before the service to set up the time. He was on time for the appointment and fixed the problems quickly. Couldn't be happier.

The installation (8 years ago) went fine, but their customer service for repair is NONEXISTENT. I was told a guy would call back to schedule, and he never did. Made a couple of follow-up calls, and still no call back. After 6 weeks I gave up, called Limoge, and they came out to fix it the next day. And they were reasonably priced, which OD (at $90/hr) is not. If follow-up service is important to you, consider another shop.

Initially, I spoke by phone with Eric in Sales and got some estimated prices and accepted two more bids to replace a residential garage door. I contacted Eric to let him know that I was signing his contract and making the down payment.he said that my door had to be ordered and it should arrive in about two weeks. Two weeks later, my door was in and he said that someone would contact me for a Wednesday/Thursday installation. Michael called yesterday afternoon and said someone would be at my residence between 9 and 10 AM the following day.he arrived promptly at 9 AM.

The installer spent about two hours with the replacement and had me operate the opener to ensure that everything was as it should be.it was. I paid the balance and was very pleased. I should point out that this dealer was about $200 less expensive than a dealer a short distance away. A very professional experience.
