This year Armstrong is celebrating its 50th anniversary in California. As a multi-generational family business, we deeply appreciate the values and hard-won knowledge we've inherited. In 1966, after a decade of operating successfully, Howard made the decision to move Armstrong to California. Looking back over the last 50 years, we acknowledge Howard's legacy and the company he built. Everybody was very polite and prompt in their responses; Also, questions were answered without hand-offs, even if someone else had the actual answer.

When Armstrong's founder, Howard, received his Californian state license number (lic#245291), he opened his first location in Oakland and his second, in San Francisco, the City by the Bay.
